You lost me at Annette Sharp.

Many have taken a pay cut and if you’re only working 2 days a week, so be it.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. You may choose to discredit her but she’s been proven correct on a number of occasions.

And proven incorrect on many more. Usually she just speculates on gossip and tries to pass it off as fact.

If he was on $350k a year, he is a bargain. More like $500k+. Draws the whole article into disrepute.

She’s the one blowing the smoke though, and stoking the fire.

On the slim chance she is credible, i’m not sure it makes a difference.

It’s clear that Mark was ready to move on anyway, so whether or not 7 will now save costs on the sport role is quite irrelevant.

You could have predicted what Annette would have written even before she wrote it. She really is quite lazy.

Do you have to get to Peter Hitcheners age before you can leave a role without speculation of being pushed out?

He works two days a week. Those days are flexible. His sporting commitments have been reduced to just Supercars, and even his role in that has lessened. Personally, I don’t see that Sunrise inhibits his charity work. In fact, Sunrise was used largely as a vehicle to promote it. He could rightfully be tired after 21 years of breakfast. But he didn’t say that. It also wouldn’t explain leaving the network. Sydney 6ppm doesn’t have a weekend sport presenter for example.

You’re saying he chose to go part time on Sunrise earlier this year. I don’t agree. But let’s say that he did, you would expect Katie to be doing his off days and filling in for him when he is away. If you say Mondays and Fridays are only the big days in sport so it made sense to have a separate sport presenter those days, then they would be getting Katie to replace him on his two days a week. Instead. Sunrise earlier this year chose to change the format and have no sport presenter in his absence. I always saw this as a phasing out strategy. They were told they had to cut costs and they negotiated this phase out strategy so it didn’t upset the audience.

When he made the announcement the other day, Nat said you never really leave. He said, “Good, because I don’t want to.” Make of that what you will.

Yes! I always look forward to December 1st when the set is decorated with a Christmas tree.

I wonder what theme they’ll have this year?

Couldn’t Shirvo be in the studio as per normal with the obviously paid content on the Gold Coast with Katie hosting?

Liam Tapper, Sydney reporter, in Sydney reporting on the warm weather.

But on his insta he’s doing some culture wars story about gender neutral bathrooms in Melbourne. Find that a bit weird.

Weird. Some of his questions on Tik Tok are also strange. Seems to be no fan of the Labor federal government, particularly Treasurer Hon. Dr. Jim Charmers.
