Very well. An incredibly dependable B team that hasn’t really missed a beat all summer. Keeps the audience engaged and means they don’t need to invite the audience back after the summer as a good chuck stuck around.

Just throwing it out there, but maybe Eddy used sone of her summer annual leave for longer Maternity leave last year, so doesn’t have that much for a break this year?

A good chunk indeed. For those five weeks, Sunrise cleared Today each week by at least 50k. That is the largest margin since the week of the Commonwealth Games in early August. Seven didn’t even have to bother airing the ‘Kochie and Nat are back’ promos.
Surprisingly, it was probably one of the best summer rostering in years.

Not particularly looking forward to Nat’s return as co-host. Monique runs rings around her. Monique is a fantastic storyteller and gets the tone right in all her interviews. I don’t think Nat has adjusted to the role well at all. Still very screechy with her voice and awkward in her presentation. Much better suited to being a newsreader where she excelled.

Remember even though Nat has been in a presenting role on Sunrise for 20 years, she has only been in the full time hosting role for a couple.
Monique, though just doing weekends, has been in her hosting role for almost a decade. And she has been the “senior” host on weekends introducing new co-hosts Basil and then Matt, after AOK left.
That said, Nat has been a regular fill-in including way back as far as Mel Doyle’s first pregnancy.

That’s just her voice I’m afraid. Nothing can be changed about that. She still rates head and shoulders above the rest of the competition and is an inoffensive personality so she’ll stay there for as long as she likes and that’s a good thing IMO.

Hoping for a refresh of the opener tomorrow. Something a little lighter, fresher, more breakfast, more like a “Sunrise” than cityscapes or people rushing to work.
But doubt that will happen.
Graphics are great as they are.

Even just changjng the end shot of the opener so it’s not a shot of a building; it could be the blue and orange shot they use as the transition instead.
