NBC Today-style concerts on “The Plaza” or at Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal over summer is always a huge crowd pleaser on Sunrise

The novelty has worn off those too. Ratings were not great for the last few they did

Not to mention the longevity of the presenters and the minimal changes to the presenting team over the past 17 or so years.
Natalie Barr has been the show’s newsreader ever since that role was established in 2003. To put that into context, the majority of us members (including myself) may have still been in primary school back then.
I also don’t think the show may have achieved the ratings success it has over the past 15 years had Kochie not been called up to replace Chris Reason (who had to resign to focus on his battle with cancer) in October 2002.

Doubt it as Eddy’s maternity leave starts tomorrow and Sonia will have to either see out her contract or go on gardening leave til it expires.
Was this announced on the show this morning? Or has she made any formal announcement?
