What has 7 got plans for their US election coverage next year. Perhaps a Sunrise broadcast out of 30 Rock Studio 1A and live coverage using their own presenters rather than simulcasting CNN and NBC.
7 don’t have the rights to the Melbourne Cup anymore so they can send their crew to America for the week 1 Nov ending 6 Nov.
Good point. Perhaps they can send Kochie abroad leaving Sam and Nat to hold the fort at Brekky Central while Chris Reason and Mark Riley would also fly stateside to cover the election for 7NEWS.
Also don’t forget the inauguration in January 2021 as well.
If you are talking about her entertainment role, I don’t think they will cover her at all. Sam and Kochie will do the story intros and Nelson would pick up the international interviews, but nobody will do the in-studio Showbiz segments.
Angie Asimus will likely assume the role of filling in for Nat, though.
I would’ve liked Nelson Aspen to cover her maternity leave but can’t see that actually happening.
It will be interesting to see how long she actually takes for her maternity leave because plans often change once the baby arrives .
Mike Amor, Chris Reason and Mark Riley on location outside the NBC studios anchoring 7’s election coverage. Paul Kadak and Ashlee Mullany presenting from the HQ’s
David Woiwod is back from his holidays by the way. Also seems like the Sydney reporter roster change is now permanent (Samantha Brett Mondays-Thursdays, Amber Laidler or Jessica Ridley on Fridays).
Yes and No, Today does interviews on set with people, I think they even had a weather presenter at one point. Today’s one flows a lot better compared to Sunrise which is a quick mash up especially when it only runs for about 3 minutes at 8:30.
I thought the Sunrise one was the same length as the standard news updates every half hour from 7am on Sunrise whereas Today has the 15 minute segments at 7am and 8am and the shorter ones on the half hour.
