Bryan Seymour is reporting from Sydney this morning.
The 7 News podcast The Lady Vanishes has created a major breakthrough with Police now re-opening this cold case, Bryan was one of the team that created this podcast.
Showbiz Editor Nelson Aspen has been (and is) on assignment, conducting a number of interviews, including an exclusive with the cast of Moulin Rouge which is airing today.

Great to see a team discussion on the doping saga. Would love to see more of this:

According to her Instagram, Jessica Ridley will be heading on holidays soon.
Bryan Seymour was used this morning, perhaps Amber Laidler or Cameron Price will cover Ridley’s shifts for the next few weeks?
Both Amber Laidler (reporting) and Samantha Brett appeared on Sunrise this morning, the latter as part of Kochie’s segment promoting her recent book.
The Duchess of Sussex was guest editor for Vogue and the front cover has been criticised with claims it is a similar cover to a book that Samantha co-authored in 2017 called “The Game Changers”.
Samantha doesn’t have any issues with the similarities and was surprised by the controversy and being contacted by International media for comment.
A magazine cover with multiple images was not a new design in 2017. Weird how anyone thought the Vogue cover was a copy of anything, including Sunrise with that “bears striking resemblance”. No it doesn’t. From Google:
Sunrise was only reporting the news story and Kochie said of course that type of cover has been done hundreds of times before, the whole point of the topic was how ridiculous that the Duchess of Sussex was actually having criticism about this front cover.
Nat has apologised and says the report was corrected in later bulletins:
Thats a big call.
See, here’s the thing. I actually don’t mind Natalie Barr (Unlike some other breakfast TV presenters, I haven’t heard the gossip hounds say anything negative about her) but the same can’t be said about much of the content she has to present.
We really need more presenters/reporters of Australian TV’s leading news & current affairs programs (especially on the commercial networks) to speak up about any concerns they may have about the content they have to present. But unfortunately, I doubt that’s going to happen anytime soon.
It’s demonizing Australia’s most desperate.
‘Dole bludgers’ is a trigger word. Sunrise isn’t the sole offender.
We know.
And doing exactly that is what contributed, in part, to Chris Bath being demoted and eventually walking out the door at 7.
Who’s willing enough to risk their job?
