Studio 10

Did Nerelda say she will be back? That was obviously the first stage. Tristan has probably been in meeting all last week.

No doubt a replacement show might be in the works. I could potentially see Morning television returning to ATV10.

I loved Studio 10 and probably one of the few who chose 10 in the morning…. I really do hope 10 try something else.

Studio 10 was really doomed when they stopped being original and went to the smiler format of their competition.

Doubt that very much. Axing S10 means those resources can be diverted to 10 News and the new bulletins, it would just be more expensive to create another morning program, particularly in another city where they’d need to hire new crew.

Was expected. Lasted 10 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Do we expect them to run some paid programming in the morning to make up for advetorials?

I echo everyone else when I say that Studio 10’s demise is long overdue, but it’s very unfortunate for the various staff who work hard behind the scenes to get the show to air, hopefully they all find work.

I would expect to see repeated primetime content.

Well it’s certainly lasted longer than say The Circle or Wake Up.

Yes but maybe they’ll run some infomercials in the early hours too.

How long did this go for?

The weird thing is I saw a job ad for a producer job on Studio 10 not that long ago

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to record a video instead of telling your viewers on air first?

To get ahead of any news reporting before the show and control the narrative.

I’d be giving Carrie Bickmore a call and seeing if she’s interested in floating ideas for a morning show next year.

Maybe Carrie, Chrissie Swan and a male (Frank Woodley?) Produced in Melbourne. Simple setting around a coffee table and lounge setting. Format like Good Morning Australia with Bert.

She stopped working on The Project because she wanted to work less so I doubt she’d be happy working more than she did before.

There’s a big difference being on TV at night when the kids are home to being on TV during the day when they’re at school.

She said she wanted to spend nights with the kids.

Not that much difference because she would miss mornings with her family. They need to be at the studio rwo or three hours before the start time to prepare. Plus, if she is hosting a two hour show, that’s a bigger workload than a co-host on a one hour show.
