Studio 10 (2015-2020)

Why 8-12?

Seems 6-10 would be better

This seems like it may be permanent?

They should consider doing the show in two parts. Hard hitting news and hot topics 8-10am. Some lighter stuff, interviews, showbiz 10-noon. Do it like Today and Today Extra.

Why? Why do you want them to copy the competition?

I’m not saying they should copy them. Just keep a division. I think there’s a good reason to have all the serious news at the top of the show and keep the fluff for later.

I find it really annoying when Joe tries to take the piss out of serious stories or when KAK can’t wait to make it all about herself and relate everything to the celebrities she has met.

Didn’t sound permanent with Sarah saying at the start of the show "Hello and welcome to a very special edition of Studio 10 we are joining you from a little earlier in here this morning as we tackle the Coronavirus Crisis… things are changing so rapidly which why we are going from the earlier time today

Obviously it could be a long while at the earlier time and depending on developments on the day l think the show could be extended beyond 12pm.

Not sure much happens between 6-8 in terms of new local news or press conferences and the like. 8-12 might be around rostering, amongst other things. It means 10 has a news presence all morning if needed until, I assume, 10 News Sydney crew take over from noon…

Brand the whole thing Studio 10 but bring the audience (when the situation improves) a bit later. A bit like NBC Today.

The largest audiences in 3 years are watching breakfast TV right now.

10 is crazy not to be shifting the broadcast into peak viewing hours

Assuming they’re still a lean operation, I would still rather see them doing a late news at 9:30 than early mornings - would probably be more successful for them.

9pm or 930 yes

But they could
Also shift the 4 hours of studio 10 to 6am-10am for no cost at all and put the show in peak viewing time

I mean it’s the biggest crisis in our lifetime. What’s better - a lineup of celebrities, gossip and American soap operas about millionaires - (The talk, ET and Bold) or a live Australian news snow

Except it would be taxing on the presenters and their families to change their routine. Especially at this time.

Today’s show ended around 12:20pm after taking the Health Ministers live press conference just after 12pm.

Well. These are taxing times for everyone including TV hosts. They’re beibh paid 300k and up each. I think they can wake up 2 hours earlier

Where did you pull those figures from?

Possibly a few talking heads are getting that sort of money
The people on the floor & behind the scenes will be on much closer to average wages and their are many of these people who would be affected.

7 and 9 start on air at 5

In the US they start on air at 4

I think the studio 10 folks can manage 6am
