Um… I don’t actually mind this for a bit of a change. Seems a bit more intimate, less chatter over each other. I don’t think it should be a permanent format, but it could be a winner for breaking up the show a bit more.
I like the idea and think it is well managed in these circumstances (opposed to TDX which looks visually ridiculous). I’m actually saying take the idea/opportunity further and include panellists from remote locations (Ang, Narelda, Denise Scott/Drysdale) for the whole show, instead of just people who can make it to the studio and then split-screening them.
That’s a lot of staff, going all over the place - I don’t think that’ll happen in the current climate.
Also, have you done any skype meetings with people all over the place? The delay is all over the place and not ideal for broadcasting.
If split screening is now used daily because of the current situation it’s a small price to pay for having a television show still on air.
Has Angela got a lamp she can switch on in front of her? Or maybe Ten can buy one for her. Million dollar view from her flat.
Friday 20 March-
Narelda Jacobs is hosting (her first time filling in for Sarah) with Kerri-Anne and Joe today.
Charlotte Goodlet is presenting news updates.
Narelda is doing well. I actually like just three people on the desk/panel today and visually it looks better than the two. I wouldn’t mind if they just did this for the ‘foreseeable future’.
Monday 23 March-
Sarah hosting with Dr Andrew Rochford, Kerri-Anne and Joe.
Natarsha Belling is back presenting news updates this morning.
Ang’s lighting is much better, maybe because it’s not so sunny outside.
Not sure how long this will be for but as of tomorrow, Studio 10 will begin at 8am
Interesting move, maybe 10 have something planned beforehand? I.e a news bulletin from 6am-8am or similar.
An interesting move to bring the start time forward by half an hour, one would have to wonder how much effect this would have since viewers have been turning in from 8:30 (or based on ratings 9:30) for 5+ years now.
8am-12pm is a very long time. It’s an interesting decision considering the 8.30 slot is by far their weakest and that they don’t gain viewers until after 9.30am (which has always been the case).
And why would you start it on a Tuesday, with very little promotion??
Probably making room for their usual content in light of daily AM press briefings they might be taking live for the next few weeks.
The show was extended by 30 minutes today with all the different media conferences by state premiers and unfolding developments happening on a daily basis extending the show is a good idea at present, and l don’t think it will be finishing at 12pm everyday it will depend on what is happening on the day.
There is this little thing called a worldwide pandemic happening. Id say that is why…
Presume WIN is crashing in at 8.30?
Well, at least this forum will keep on going with Kerri-Anne staying on for another year…
