It’s been a long time since 10 have been live for 14 hours continuously. Studio 10 into Derby Day into 10 news into the rugby World Cup final.
The Studio 10 coverage so far is somewhat boring.

The first 20 mins or so was a tough slog to watch, but once they got into the interviews it was a bit better. This guest brought a bit of liveliness, maybe he should have been on instead of Bartel:
Natalie Hunter is doing the roving gig but I think I would have preferred Jono Coleman to break up the same-same personalities:
Georgia Love also did a report. It was good to see her back on Studio 10.

Overall, a good Saturday show?
(even if it was from a different location from usual)
The show was fine.
Started off a bit slow, due to no one being there at 8.30, but once a few guests arrived it picked up.
They should have had News Updates though.

For a second I was like, that’s a massive performance space they built for the races… Then I realised it was Sydney

That gradient green they’re using for the supers looks much nicer than the regular supers. It blends better with the white third and pink logo.

Tomorrow (November 4) the show and the Melbourne Cup parade will be shown live in all states. That means in WA it will be up against Sunrise and Today from 5.30am. It’s not ideal for some viewers that they will miss about one-third of the show if they don’t wake up early. I think 10 can afford to air it and the parade on delay as the latter is not a live race.
As a w.a viewer I would rather watch the parade live . Not on delay. It can be done they can put it on main channel,and pull all the ten programming line up shifted to10bold. That would be more better.
Live would generate more viewers. We’re not in the 2000’s anymore.

The Saturday show really missed the atmosphere of having a studio audience IMO. I get the logistics etc, but even a few 10 employees would do. Just felt cold.
I know they were advertising for an audience tomorrow so lets see the effect that has.

Certainly a bold choice.
She didn’t on Saturday either, not sure why they persisted with her today but it’s probably something to do with their deal with VRC for coverage?
A better choice would have been someone Melbourne based, Yvie or Denise otherwise if they wanted someone associated with the race they could’ve had Anna Heinrich or Francesca Cumani etc.

Studio 10 still going at 12.45pm. You’d think they’d have shared the hosting around with the wider team?!
Or probably cause she is the strong woman who had a public breakup with an evil man again.
Studio 10 has a Melbourne correspondent. Where is she?!
