Stranded on Honeymoon Island Australia

Now confirmed for 2025 - about a year it was first due to air

The article doesn’t actually say that. It says it was due for Q2 this year. Nothing about it being rescheduled for Q2 next year just that it’ll be rescheduled for 2025.

From 2025 Upfronts

A unique social experiment, Stranded on Honeymoon Island puts adventure, survival and, above all, isolation at the heart of this quest for love. But will the experience lead to love or loathing? The couples are matched by experts following a speed dating event, but they don’t know which partner has been chosen for them until they see them at the intimate commitment ceremony. Immediately after committing themselves to each other, they are dramatically abandoned on their own deserted tropical islands for the adventure of a lifetime.

Brook Hall said that Stranded on Honeymoon Island would air in third quarter this year.

“It’s not like Love Island, it’s not like Too Hot to Handle, but it is a slightly different tone and, of course, it’s a new format, which makes it harder. So we wanted that to be sometime after Farmer… .and we also wanted to give it space from another big dating show on another network as well,” Hall admits.

However Seven’s series filmed in 2023 leading to some tabloid articles about cast since having moved onto other relationships.

“Not everyone comes out finding the love of their life. That’s part of the format. Some (relationships) end and for the majority of it, you see those stories in the show … This format follows them on their journey accurately in the show. But remember, those tabloids always exaggerate things,” he insists.

“The hardest part about this show is how we communicate an unknown format.”

So this is just MAFS with near naked people?

I believe this show will be nearly two years old by the time that it actually airs. Wasn’t it filmed back in 2023? There were promos featuring the actual contestants in May 2024.

It seems unlikely anyone could realistically keep a relationship under wraps for that long and that 7 surely couldn’t have had anyone under the usual public embargo’s for that long.

A first screening on 7plus plus late night encore on the main channel (similar to Love Island Australia) seems appropriate.

I prefer that style. Its suited to a later slot Monday to Wednesday, rather than in the stripped 7.30pm slot.
