Wished we had an option for TNT Sports/Sky Sports UK coverage as we had during the Lions tour. Stan using the same Premier League Productions World Feed we had during the Optus Sport days
i’d love it if they stuck sky sports premier league on as a 24/7 channel. means i don’t need to fire up my VPN to watch it

It’s up now:
Why did it take so long for the host venue to publicise the event, three days out?
Because live sites for football are banned?
Stan Sport confirmed at the end of their Australian coverage of the Spurs/City game that they’d acquired the WSL
Starting when?
This season, which begins Sep. 6 with Chelsea v Man City at 4:30am AEST.
As part of the Optus deal right?
No. The WSL deal with Optus had lapsed. This is a new deal.
Foxtel asleep at the wheel…?
What wheel? Why would they try to pick up WSL with no other football?
I took it to mean World Surf League ![]()
Didn’t know there was a WSL football/soccer competition
So Chelsea and Manchester City women play in the World Surf League. ![]()
hahahah I thought it was this as well until Optus sport got a mention.
Women’s Super League.
I wondered whether they might have tried through DAZN
Possibly - although I’d be surprised if it moved the subs needle for DAZN/Fox without being sandwiched in a larger football package that Stan can offer.
THE WORLD’S BEST WOMEN’S FOOTBALL LEAGUE SET TO MAKE ITS MARK ON STAN
A host of Australia’s biggest football stars are set to light up screens as the Barclays Women’s Super League joins Stan’s expanding premier football lineup in a new multi-year partnership.
Stan has today announced the latest acquisition to its growing football offering with a new multi-year deal bringing the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL) to Australian fans. With the 2025/26 season set to kick off on 6 September, Stan Sport will be the only place to watch all 132 matches live and on demand.
The BWSL has grown into a global powerhouse, setting the benchmark for elite women’s football. It is one of the most competitive and most-watched leagues in the world, consistently breaking records for crowds, viewership and cultural impact. Beyond the numbers, the league is inspiring millions of fans and redefining the future of sport, on the pitch and far beyond it.
Australia’s biggest stars are set to shine in the 2025/26 season, including Matildas’ icons Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter (Chelsea), Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord (Arsenal) and Mary Fowler (Manchester City). Their presence ensures that the league is not only a world-class competition, but also a direct connection for Australia fans to their sporting heroes.
The new BWSL season is set for a blockbuster opening weekend. Reigning champions Chelsea will kick things off against 2023/24 runners-up Manchester City at 4:30am AEST on Saturday 6 September. Later in the round, fans will be treated to a Merseyside derby between archrivals Liverpool and Everton – one of four fixtures scheduled for 9:00pm AEST on Sunday 7 September.
This landmark acquisition builds on Stan’s unwavering investment in women’s sport, complementing its coverage of women’s rugby and strengthening its role as a platform that champions female athletes at every level. Backed by the full power of Nine’s ecosystem – from national editorial to talent integration and fan-first engagement – Stan Sport will showcase the BWSL like never before and continue driving momentum for women’s football in Australia.
**Dan Taylor, Executive Director, Stan said: “**The Barclays Women’s Super League is one of the most celebrated football competitions in the world, and fans have been calling for it to be shown on Stan. We’re proud to be giving Australians the chance to enjoy the pinnacle of women’s club football and follow their Matildas heroes in action. Alongside the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and more, Australians can now experience every moment of the best club football competitions in the world, live and on demand on Stan."
Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chief Revenue Officer, WSL Football said: “The BWSL is home to some of the world’s top international stars, and we’re proud to have several Matildas playing in our league. Now, Australian fans can follow their icons closely, week in and week out. This season promises to be incredible, and partnering with Stan strengthens our mission to elevate the league’s global presence and reach new audiences around the world.”
The BWSL joins a blockbuster lineup of action on Stan Sport in September, including Premier League, UEFA Champions League, The Rugby Championship, Bledisloe Cup, Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, US Open and more.
