Overnight, Twitter had decided to put in limits that no one absolutely likes.
But who is sitting there reading more than 1000 tweets a day?
If you scroll Twitter every Tweet you pass counts as a view.
Well twitter shut up on me. (Was in a car for 6 hours) anyone got any goss?
I usually view up to 40-50 tweets per visit so the limit doesn’t affect me.
Although I can’t read other people’s tweets without having to log in.
Deep fakes but who falls for them? Only the most vulnerable?
So Facebook’s answer to all the Twitter mess is here:
What your stance on this?
- Yes, I’ll make the switch
- Now hang on just a minute…
- I’ll stick to what I have, thank you
- I’ll switch to somewhere else (eg Mastodon)

Threads all seems a bit jumbled for now. No chronological feed, no search, no ability to see just who you’re following. Am sure it’ll get tweaked but for now…
It feels like it’s still in beta and seriously underdeveloped. Also seems to me it’s trying to hard to not be a Twitter clone (when I think that’s what people really want given the way Elon’s going about things).
I do think it has a lot of potential especially with the built in integration with Instagram, if any of these rivals to Twitter have any chance of succeeding I think this is it. Zuckerberg is very much the lesser of two evils these days.
I got Threads on day 1 and I must say at the moment it’s honestly crap. It might be better if Twitter just dies and Threads gets a revamp and becomes the new Twitter.
There may be some tweaks down the track. I guess Threads would be worried about legal action if it was exactly like Twitter from the start.
I agree. Not feeling it yet. Although as @JBar says tweaks will probably come. (Hashtags for one would be nice!)
Musk seems intent on completely destroying Twitter. What a twit!
