It really is bizarrre stuff. The train of thought is fucked. At one point that Rowan Dean person was saying “the divers weren’t there teaching gender theory to the trapped boys they were here to rescue them”. How the fuck do you even think that? Tin foil hat conspiracy theories abound on this channel.

Apparently fossil fuels ran the pumps in the cave… surely it was a generator and not some coal fired power station.

There we have it tonight again … that fat prick Murray harping on about how the solution to power prices is more coal fired power station.

Can you explain what that is? In detail if possible.

It astounds me that he probably thinks a line like that is biting satire, when to almost everyone else who inhabits this universe it makes no fucking sense.

Then again, if your political beliefs are cemented in ‘owning’ a group of people through edgy non sequiturs, then you don’t deserve to be taken seriously.

Can we knock off the constant porn references in every post by some members, it’s very tiresome.

What was Sky’s political bias like before the News Corp takeover in 2016? From what I’ve read, current daytime news is stock-standard and presentable, but the demons come out to play at night.

Also, how’s the political bias of Sky UK?

Sky News Melbourne reporter Annelise Nielsen will be joining the Sky Canberra bureau, replacing the outgoing Jen Bechwati (who is joining Seven in Canberra). She was a guest at the end of Andrew Bolt’s program, who gave her a pretty nice send off from Melbourne.

Sky News has reported audience growth for the first half of 2018, with average viewership up 25% from last year.

I’m sure the demos are all 55+ and people who live in an echo chamber. Like to hear their own opinions shouted at them like they’re right. Ratings increase doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any cut through or relevance whatsoever.

Just a thought… why is that only right wing aggression on tv and radio and no one really does these formats for the left.

Like msnbc is somewhat softish left but really it’s only the loud and noisy right wing shit that we hear about.

I think it’s because left wingers don’t really respond to aggression and loud opinionated formats than the right wingers, and they only dominate traditional media from what I can see. Left have social media in the bag.

Rachael Maddow, Samantha Bee, every late night talk show host… Although they’re American, they do feature in Australia’s media landscape

I find the numbers extremely suspect and they a certainly not based on the usual ratings numbers that we see published by OzTAM and posted each day.

Lets just take one sentence:

Paul Murray LIVE, hosted by Paul Murray each Sunday-Thursday at 9pm, is the number one nightly program on Foxtel in its timeslot, reaching an average xxx per week. (Check article for exact number that is well over 200,000).

Compare that to the overnight ratings last week:

Sunday it was not in top 20 so below 48,000; Mon 63,000; Tue 62,000; Wed 31,000 and Thu 36,000

So that is an average total national audience across the week of approx 45,000 according to the official ratings organisation.

Clearly “reach” numbers are being used throughout the article so 268,000 would represent something like the average number of people who watched 5 minutes (or it could be 1 minute) of the program across the week.

So the conclusion? 25% more people are watching 5 minutes of the show each week compared to last year.

BTW I looked at the same week last year and the OzTAm audience was approx 40,000 for that week.
