Sky News Regional

Although would be very likely to bring NNSW into line with the other three aggregated markets plus Nick being a wholly Ten/Paramount property would boost that case.

I can see it move to the Seven multiplex. Money talks.

Nine will have been bitten by the Your Money channel debarcle.
Unless Ten sees more $$$ and a good reason to keep Sky News on the regional stations, they’ll say now.
I’d move it to ABC or SBS for shits and giggles.

My guess is Sky wants a bigger footprint for any money its outlaying for bandwidth. Not a bad deal for Paramount if they’re struggling to sell inventory on their multichannels. But do they want to give up a FTA channel?

Well given much of their multi channels are shit. Replacing it with a comedy with Sky News regional would probably make much more sense .

Does Sky News regional air in Western Australian regional areas ?

Sky would be pushing for access to 10s larger capital city markets too.

Is there any reason why 10 could not add another multichannel in these markets? Or are they all (legally and technically) tapped out on space?

Sky News is far more popular than Nick and with restrictions on kids advertising- it could be more profitable

Couldn’t work in either case due to existing vision sourcing/supply agreements.

No technical reason 10 couldn’t add another multichannel to a capital city multiplex.

No reason. Probably a lack of content and not comedically visible.

But surely having this questionable toxic content and brand would damage 10s already struggling public perception.

I’m not following

I see Rob has gone full cooker calling 10 ā€œwoke and brokeā€ in his latest newsletter.

I wonder if the average viewer would know or even care what MUX sky news is on…

Sky News sources vision and reports from Seven and Nine News. It could be a conflict if either carried the channel with opposition news content.

Nope. Seven was dropped several years ago. Still an agreement with Nine.

It should be noted going woke has led the network to go broke, reporting a loss of more than $300 million in the last financial year.

Ten notably has never been ā€œbrokeā€ in the history of the network ever before. It’s them woke what did it.

Ten should do it in exchange for simulcasting The Project on Sky News on Foxtel.

I’m not sure 10 has a struggling public perception.

Yes it is #3, but so is Aldi, Mazda, hungry jacks etc. I don’t think #3 means struggling public perception

And I don’t think anyone associates Sky with 10. No one out there in viewer land associates the two just because 10 is on Chanel 10 and Sky say on Channel 18

No one would have a clue what channel numbers are owned by what multiplex

The election ratings proved no one is watching, they are already in the doldrums.

Is he auditioning for Sky News?

But in saying that, Sky News Regional made its first top 30 appearance from its election coverage.
