How stupid. Just get rid of the bug completely if it isn’t live!

Does the LIVE bug animate? I ask because the one shown during Sports Sunday (see screenshot below) was static. So it looks as though MediaHub haven’t removed the static LIVE bug in time for Mundine Means Business for the NSW feed but have for others. No surprise really, MediaHub are terrible with on-screen graphic timings.

Screenshot also shows how useless the static LIVE bug is during FSN segments as FSN provide their own on the top-right.

Nah it isn’t animated like the one on full Sky is.

Encore is showing for me now too on the Speers program, so at least they got rid of the Live bug for something that aired this morning lol

Commercial on the SNOW Queensland feed consist of ads for Sky News, Crawford library and mostly Queensland businesses.

Kenny on Sunday just began. Regional Australia’s first taste of right-wing nut job opinion.

First opinion: Reducing emissions does nothing. Don’t worry about the Paris agreement. ScoMo is crazy because he’s committed to the reduction targets. Sigh

Just when you thought WIN couldn’t get any worse. Imagine this shit if it was Sky News on Ten as was originally planned.

I don’t believe my eyes! Actual news headlines!

Whenever Sky airs one of their far right programs (usually 6pm onwards) I always change the channel to ABC News instead in protest haha. Sky used to be so much better before it started becoming Australia’s version of Fox News.

Their ToTH countdowns aren’t nearly as good as they used to be either. I use to enjoy trying to get the longest ones possible and uploading them. They were fun to remix too. See my collection of the old ones here: https://m.youtube.com/user/namikstudio/videos

I first started watching Sky News around 2006. It was a pretty basic channel back then, just headlines every 15 minutes and half hour bulletins back-to-back. It provided exactly what you’d expect.

I noticed earlier when comparing SNOW with the actual channel, they cover over the countdown with a loop style montage of promo enders. Bit bodge.

Judging by what I’ve seen/heard about Sky News on WIN, metropolitan free to air viewers (including yours truly) don’t seem to missing out on too much IMO. Dubious programming and even picture quality by the sound of things, must miss TV when I’m next in a WIN viewing area!

For all the faults of that channel, at least ABC News on LCN-24 seems to air actual news bulletins or updates in most timeslots between 6am and 12 midnight Sydney time. Although I am concerned that News Corp might decide to use their FTA “news” channel offerings as yet another stick to beat the ABC with.

This remix I made of the old Sky themes and countdowns is my personal favourite: https://youtube.com/watch?v=IiB2HMN2z38

Bashing the ABC happens pretty much every night on full Sky after 6pm so I have no doubt they will continue to do so. Attacking “Channel 2” as he calls it is one of Paul Murray’s go to topics to fire up his far-right audience.

I guess the one good thing about SNOW is that content is airing live through a national feed. Breaking news is still breaking when it airs in WA, not “Breaking2hoursago News”.

Though I highly doubt they would’ve shot themselves in the foot and decided to time shift programming, still good to see.

Are you serious? Regional Australia is the home of non-leftie socialist views.

I wasn’t suggesting otherwise? Now they’ll feel right at home with this new channel!

For all the banging on about the loss of voices in regional areas with the media, why are so many people against right wing broadcasts? If there’s left wing voices allowed too then surely it’s only fair to allow the right wing voices and let people decide themselves. Most people are smart enough to make their own opinions but do need a variety of voices to do that. Yep, some people will always be right wing nutjobs but there will be just as many left wing loonies. If you like the ABC News, watch that, if you like Sky News on WIN, watch that. If you like SBS, CNN, Fox, Southern Cross, whatever, watch that but don’t whinge about the loss of voices when more voices are added, they’re just voices you don’t agree with.

I’d argue most people aren’t smart enough to decide for themselves.
