Shark Tank

Must be back up. It had been down for a few days.

###It’s Time To Get Back In The Tank

Shark Tank’s Record-Breaking New Season.

A brand new season of the critically-acclaimed hit family entertainment show, Shark Tank, is coming soon to TEN and WIN Network.

Hosted by Studio 10’s Sarah Harris, Shark Tank brings together five superstars of business, each of whom turned their own dreams into reality and are experts at transforming ideas into lucrative businesses.

Australia’s Sharks are internet pioneer Steve Baxter, Boost Juice entrepreneur Janine Allis, millionaire entrepreneur Andrew Banks, RedBalloon experience founder Naomi Simson and Dr Glen Richards, founder of Australia’s largest pet-care company Greencross.

From the world’s first portable outdoor gym to a device that could save the Great Barrier Reef, the inventions and ideas floated in the Tank this year are the most impressive yet. In a record-breaking Shark Tank first, one entrepreneur will secure a massive $2.5 million from one of the Sharks, marking the biggest investment in local Shark Tank history.

Worth more than $1 billion collectively, the five Sharks are ready to judge the products and concepts pitched to them by ordinary Australians. Smart, shrewd and unapologetically direct, Steve, Janine, Andrew, Naomi and Glen will decide whether they are willing to put their own dollars on the line to invest in these products and ideas.

The Sharks have invested over $9 million of their own money since series one, but while they are happy to take the bait for the brilliant ideas, the pitches that are less than impressive will be torn to shreds.

Who will have the best business bait, the right line and the smarts to win over the Sharks? And will anyone be mauled in the Shark Tank?

Looking forward to this, would easily have to be the best show on TV personally. Here’s hoping for some more consistent scheduling this year to give the show the best chance to succeed and grow its audience.

I have a feeling Ten might air it on Tuesdays after the conclusion of NCIS. Its kind of the only available slot unless they air it after Masterchef is finished and put it in a 7:30 slot.

Yes hurry up and get this back on air. Great show.

Just drove past a digital billboard in Brisbane this morning but missed the airdate for this, all think I saw was Sunday… maybe 25th June?

Edit: Well clearly I got that wrong!

###Shark Tank Season Three.

Premieres Tuesday 20 June At 8.30pm.

Australia’s business superstars are back and they are ready to invest, as TEN’s critically-acclaimed hit family entertainment show Shark Tank returns on Tuesday, 20 June at 8.30pm.

Hosted by Studio 10’s Sarah Harris, Shark Tank brings together five of the country’s most powerful business leaders, who are ready to put their own cash on the line and turn the next big idea into a profitable venture.

Australia’s Sharks are internet pioneer Steve Baxter, Boost Juice entrepreneur Janine Allis, international businessman Andrew Banks, RedBalloon experience founder Naomi Simson and Dr Glen Richards, founder of Australia’s largest pet-care company Greencross.

The inventions and ideas floated in the Tank this year range from the wacky to the wonderful. They include the world’s first portable outdoor gym, an app that help cancer patients, a vegetarian seasoning with the flavour of bacon and a device that could save the Great Barrier Reef.

Network Ten Executive Producer, Paul Leadon, said: “Shark Tank’s new season has really hit its straps. We have a seamless production and an even more diverse range of entrepreneurs and products. But most importantly, our Sharks have come to play. They are taking no prisoners, with the entrepreneurs or each other.”

The Sharks have invested over $9 million of their own money since series one. While they are happy to take the bait for brilliant ideas, the pitches that are less than impressive will be torn to shreds.

Hopefully they’ve cut the opening credits down this time around.

Third time timeslot for the show in its 3rd season, starting on Sunday nights then moving to Wed/Thurs nights.

Hopefully it works for them based on their schedule of Mon - HYBPA?, Tues - Shark Tank, Wed - Drama, Thurs - Gogglebox / Common Sense.

The Kath Purkis capital raising model - don’t do due diligence, crack open a bottle of red and do the deal over dinner. An unintentionally hilarious interview.

It’s moved so many times I can’t remember.

I know… But I believe it should have always aired on Tuesdays. Sundays were never the right timeslot. Wednesdays and Thursdays last year was just filling the holes left by Gogglebox and Offspring being delayed. I think Ten had billboards to say it would air Sunday last year but changed it due to those missing shows.

Sarah Harris announced on Studio 10 this morning she was pregnant again and is due in December. If Shark Tank is renewed for a fourth season, will the filming have to be pushed back to 2018 so Sarah can care for her new bub? She showed off her baby bump while filming season 2 in late 2015.

Chillax. The current season hasn’t even started so we don’t know what ratings will be like and whether it will even be renewed.

Seven being kind to Shark Tank - scheduling First Dates UK up against the season premiere next week.
