Ha!
I was trying to find that original story the other day when I posted something about that in The Clearing thread. I’m glad TV Tonight revisited it because I couldn’t track it down.
I see TV antennas pointing in different directions there…. (the one on the left is anyway).
Assuming your profile is correct, I’m guessing the one on the left is pointed at Safety Beach, the others at Mt Dandenong as some are combo VHF/UHF antennas.
I think your guess is correct.
These are from a couple of months ago but I forgot to share them… unless I did share them and I forgot that too… Kids and old age - not a good mix.
Anyway, at the end of our NZ trip earlier this year we spent our last night staying at the new Novotel hotel in Devonport because we had no furniture set up at our house after we’d just moved so it was nice to wake up in our home town again in comfy beds.
I was hoping to capture the Spirit of Tasmania coming down the river but it snuck in while I was still asleep about 5:30 - instead I got the Liekut which came in a bit after 6am that morning.
This whole area has been redeveloped over the past few years and now has a new parkland area, the first Novotel in Tasmania (there’s another one coming to Hobart now), a playground for the kids and new BBQ area, a boardwalk going out over the river where a lot of people go to wave family and friends off on the Spirit and an amphitheatre for various performances.
Ballarat has a lot of nice old buildings - owing to its gold mining heritage.
And i think it’s the first time I’ve been here when the sun is shining!
you have picked a nice day for it
