Seven Tennis Coverage

Which network is that (with the woman in the studio)?

This is where Seven use to have their studio, do they still?

I didn’t see anything to indicate which network, but the 2nd from left is ESPN:

The Dimitrov v Gasquet game is just starting now. Could go well into the night.

EDIT: Game finished at around 2am.

Latest ever start since Hewitt vs Baghdatis in 2008 which started at 11.47am and ended at 4.33am.

Really is ridiculous… they should just delay the game until tomorrow. It way too late.

But it’s good for the viewers in Europe (where the 2 players are from) which is Saturday afternoon for them now.

Scheduling won’t permit that, they already have everything locked in for TV purposes plus it would give an unfair advantage to their next opponent with an extra day’s break (weather isn’t a factor at this tournament given there’s 3 courts with a roof as opposed to 1 at Wimbledon, 1 being constructed at the US Open and none in Paris).

AND IN TENNIS IT’S A MATCH, not a game.

Great match line-up tonight, hoping the weekend of thrillers continues :grinning:

Did basil do Murray match?

Cmon Federer!

Well Federer won out but of course the ladies match (Kerber [GER] vs Vandeweghe [USA]) had a late start, and as at 23:08 AEDT they’re in the 1st set.

Basil calling the women’s match (with Kerber world #1) alongside Alicia Molek. Renee Stubbs courtside.

Poor Baz, second late night in a row!

Perfect time(s) with the Federer vs. Nishikori match…

Prime-time in Tokyo/Japen & late morning/early afternoon in Switzerland (as well as the UK).

Overnight/early morning in the US however.

Not really, isn’t he Perth based? (Where its only 20:16 WST; if I recall correctly from his Hopman Cup coverage.)

Rennae Stubbs should be banned from commentating on Australian players. She shows zero impartiality and you’d swear the other player doesn’t exist.
