ESPN has the rights to all the blockbusters in lieu of RedZone
There was an ad earlier tonight advertising NFL back from 3am next Monday on 7mate.

Confirmed this morning that Seven will continue to show NFL this season but with only two matches per week on 7mate.
According to US Sports Down Under website, 7mate will show Jacksonville v Kansas City and Tampa Bay v San Francisco next Monday.

Yesterday’s announcement of the dates of this year’s Australian PGA Championship (December 19-22) means the golf tournament will clash with the first weekend of the 2019/20 BBL season. In particular, day 2 of the golf will overlap with the BBL match between the Hurricanes and the Sixers (2.45pm AEDT start) and day 4 will overlap with Stars v Hurricanes (also 2.45pm AEDT start). All three will be shown on Seven.

is it possible Seven can on sell them to a different FTA network. As I think, Golf Australia don’t like it when being relegated to a multi channel.

The Australian PGA (not Golf Australia) may have no choice but to accept coverage on the Friday and Sunday will be on 7mate, with BBL taking priority.

But could it be the other way with the BBL on 7mate until the golf finishes?
If BBL rates poorly like it did last year, for sure it will be the one shafted to Mate

Seven will broadcast two live games each week during the regular season and the NFL playoffs on 7mate, and will also broadcast the Super Bowl live on Channel 7.
The new agreement includes expanded digital rights for 7plus and 7NEWS.com.au that will include NFL highlights, VOD content and digital simulcast of Seven’s NFL broadcast.
Australian fans will also enjoy a selection of NFL programs on 7mate that take them inside both the action of the 2019/20 season and the game’s storied history.
So Seven shows less matches per week but fans are partly compensated with more digital highlights.

7 lost SNF and Thanksgiving to ESPN
Losing the rights to Sunday Night Football is a blow considering that slot is the NFL’s ‘marquee’ slot (especially later into the season when ‘flex scheduling’ comes in).
Having said that, the rights allocation between Seven & ESPN makes sense with Seven getting the ‘headline’ Sunday afternoon matches while ESPN gets exclusive rights to primetime matches

yeah, never made sense 7 and ESPN both showing Sunday Night Football together.
