These are not Seven’s graphics, they are from PGA Tour Australasia. You will see them again next week during the Australian PGA Championship.

Yes, they are awful. The bright star flash preceding each one is especially annoying.

These graphics have been around for years and years and are horrendous. Surely the production company used can update them. Clearly outsourced production as these are the same as when ten had the rights to this tournament.

The package is the same from when it was on Ten from 2008.

Including the opening theme music.

Then PGA Tour Australiasia should either contact the PGA Tour in the US for their graphics package or just let the domestic host broadcaster handle it.

I’m sure the PGA Tour loves giving out its graphics to events it has no involvement with.

And when it’s not a PGA Tour of Australasia event the graphics are generally handled by the European tour.

Considering Australia led the way in golf telecasts both on Seven and the ABC during the 70s and 80s, we’ve gone backwards.

Australian PGA Championship

Thursday 30 November – Sunday 3 December

US Masters champion Sergio Garcia and Aussies Adam Scott and Marc Leishman lead a star-studded field including defending champion Harold Varner III, at the Australian PGA Championship this week on the Gold Coast.

It will be the first time in seven years that Garcia has been to Australia and the first time the world no. 11 has contested the Joe Kirkwood Cup at the Royal Pines Resort.

Fellow Masters champion Adam Scott will be aiming to secure his second Australian PGA title as he welcomes the Spaniard to his home state. Leishman will also provide both stars with stiff competition having won twice on the PGA Tour in 2017, along with a further five top 10 finishes to land him at number 13
in the world rankings.

Seven’s golf coverage will be streamed on the 7Live app, with coverage on mobile, giving Australians access anywhere, anytime on any device. In addition to the all-day coverage on 7Live, 7Sport will be following
the action throughout the day @7Golf on Twitter and @Golfon7 on Facebook. Highlights and daily wraps can also be found on 7Sport.com.au

The Australian PGA will be hosted by Pat Welsh, with expert commentary from Wayne Grady, Grant Dodd and Ewan Porter. Todd Woodbridge and Alison Whitaker will bring fairway commentary, and Bree Laughlin will report on all the colour and post-round interviews.

European tour graphics as this may be co-sanctioned.

Golf broadcasting in this country is a mess.

Not just broadcasting, the whole tour has gone downhill only boosted by occasional World Cup or Presidents Cup.

Tomorrow’s final round of Australian PGA Championship will tee off early due to expected storms hitting Gold Coast in the afternoon. As the result, Seven’s telecast will start on 7TWO before moving to main channel.

I didn’t realise Seven got the rights to Inter Dominion this year. Why didn’t they promote it?

Finally lost interest in the trots when they moved from Moonee Valley in inner Melbourne to Melton on the western outskirts. Just another betting product these days.
