Should just be “stream sport for free on 7+” - that would solve the confusion.
No, they’re clearly trying to market it as a new thing, confusion be damned.
Considering non-GF AFL matches and cricket played in Australia have never been able to be streamed for free before, it’s a pretty significant advancement that they now can be.
I thought 9 had free streaming of cricket when they had the rights
I would imagine they would’ve, especially since Foxtel didn’t have the rights then.
Same with 10 and Big Bash
Like Stan Sport I guess?
Ah yes, my favourite streaming app: 7+ Sports
In all seriousness, word of mouth is an effective way to get things out there so maybe that’s what they’re going for. We were all talking about 7 News after all once they did the tagline “Unstoppable”.
Either that or the intern has been left unsupervised again.
Is there anyone left to supervise the interns at this point .
But if it’s indeed a new app (which I doubt), they should just say that it is - if it’s not, then find a better way to phrase it (i.e. stream your favourite sports on 7Plus).
Nine’s coverage was available to stream through Cricket Australia’s website and app for a number of years but pretty sure (because I remember doing this) you had to purchase a season pass in order to access it.
Tbh I thought there was a new app coming out when I first heard about this. lol
Yeah and was behind a Vodafone and Optus (I think) paywall right in the infancy of steaming, unless you happened to be a customer. Think this was a mobile only thing.
I thought right towards the end of Nine’s tenure, it was free to stream through CA but could be misremembering.
So I hear 7+ Sport is an actual thing.
How’s it different to “Stan Sport”?
You don’t have to pay for it
On my way home tonight, I spotted a tram totally wrapped in red 7+ Sport advertising. If you are in Melbourne and want to see it, keep an eye on tram number 2127. It is a B class tram.
I was in Melbourne today and meant to say the same, I also saw that. Quick turnaround time in getting that out given the promo only went live on the weekend.
I think Seven booked the advertising spot weeks in advance. Then one of the B-Class trams was wrapped around in red posters in a depot and went into service on the weekend.
