It was fixed a few minutes after I posted that cap.
This isnât true. My TV proves it.
So are BOTH 7HD and 7mate on the same LCN in Tasmania? I canât confirm, but your theory sounds right.
@TV.Cynic is implying, I think, that the tuner that guy is using has a problem and has incorrectly put 7mate on 60. 7HD on 60 is correct.
SCAâs 7mate was on LCN 60 unlike Seven and Prime, so it looks like this guy hasnât done a proper rescan to get rid of the old channel data. 7mate SD probably uses the same SID and PIDs as it did before, confusing the box.
Quite an achievement for the STB to have 2 channels stored on the same LCN!
Topfield boxes used to do that and that screenshot looks very Topfield to me.
I used to prefer this actually when I was receiving both metro and regional channels. Obviously the commercial networks had unique LCNs (6 v 7, 8 v 9, 5 v 10) but the duplicate ABC and SBS channels I received were the same LCNs.
Definitely a Topfield - looks identical to my PVR
How are you watching Hobart muxes when youâre in Brisbane?
The cap is from a You Tube video that had been posted with a comment about the LCNs available - it showed 7HD and 7Mate on LCN 60. However, that post has been deleted.
7mate is on 63 in Tasmania, has been for as long as I can remember too.
It has been on 63 since March 2017, when Southern Cross (as it was known then) launched its âHDâ (I used that term loosely, as it was really upscaled SD before rebranding to Seven in June 2018 when it became true HD) simulcast of the main channel on 60. 7mate occupied 60 prior to that time.
Ahh, ok.
This cap is from my video https://youtu.be/J3oQkbK1NKg?t=198
It is a problem with my Topfield PVR TRF-2100 has been like that for awhile a factory reset may fix it i canât remember if i have ever tried.
Central and SA still use 70/60 for 7mate too. Not sure why they never moved it to 63 when Seven rejigged their LCNs in the early 2010s (not sure of the exact date - @SydneyCityTV might know? ) WIN also continues to use 60 for 7mate, despite moving 7TWO to 62 last year!?
Donât know about the regional markets, but Seven in the major metropolitan markets reshuffled their LCNs just before 7mate launched in 2010 so it would be on 73 with a redirect of the main SD channel on 70.
Of course when the HD channel went MPEG4 a few years ago, that returned to LCN-60 while 7mate on 73 became SD.
Oh ok, so 7mate was never on 70 in metro markets to begin with?
Yes, thatâs correct. 7mate has always been on LCN 73, perhaps there was a very brief period just prior to the launch of the channel in September 2010 when 70 and 73 were pointing to the same MPEG2 HD stream but thatâs about it.
Actually, I think 7mate has been on 63 since launch here in Tasmania. I dont think its ever been on 60 here, from memory itâs always been after 7two.
