No audio currently on the chase - Rolling ticker directing people to Channel 71.
(this is in hobart, don’t know whether it’s a melbourne problem or a SCA problem.)
Redirecting to 71 and as the ads are working fine I assumed it’s a 7 issue. The scroller is not the usual SCA style either.
Had to turn on channel 6 so I could watch it!
Happening in RQld too so I’d say it’s a Network problem…
Interesting that Seven Perth is showing an episode of The Chase tonight with Supernerd as the chaser considering they had issues with audio in the episode that aired in the eastern states.
So only an issue for the HD channel?
Yes there was no sound on any channel 70 - Brisbane and regional. SD was OK.
Supernerd’s episode was supposed to be shown in eastern states tomorrow.

One interesting aspect is that Gold Coast viewers received the same message yet 30 minutes earlier. It does suggest that Seven was aware of the problem before it was broadcast.
And since The Chase at 4:30 is only shown on 7 and 71 on the Gold Coast it was unnecessary as the program is not shown on 70 so there were no sound issues in that area when the message was shown.
When the message was later shown on 70 on the Gold Coast around 5;55pm it was incorrect - viewers who switched to 71 would have found Gold Coast news instead.
BTW the first tweet above is incorrect - there was sound on LCN 7. (If there was sound on 71 there must be sound on 7 as 71 is just a pointer to 7.)
Gold Coast at 5:25pm
Of all the networks, I quite like the way Seven’s on-air marketing operates, their diversity and scheduling. I had thought they’d trimmed the budget and slacked off, but tonight/this week looked better.
For example, across an hour on 7mate tonight, you were given a promo for House Rules H&A, BH&G, Family Guy, The Dressmaker, The Chase, Seven News, Fast and Furious, Taken 3, Bodyguard, Shooter (5sec “next” static screen), Iron Man 2, Absentia, AFL From The Vault, Grown Ups 2, American Dad, The Jungle Book, Gordon Ramsay Sunday, Pawn Stars, 7Plus. As well as 2nd line PRG and on-screen pop up promotions. I even saw another transitioning graphic with music on Channel 7 for what was on “now” on 7Two, 7Plus and starting on the main chanmel.
Each was new (only aired once), promoted different channels and different nights, variety of types and lengths and played to 7mate’s younger target audiences (i.e.) 7Two content not promoted.
I don’t tend to see this same approach nor effort with Nine and 10. ABC and SBS are different altogether.
10 Bold or 9Gem for example seem to focus on marketing that channel and don’t have the stylish on-air variety and feels more plain.
But on the other hand, Nine and 10’s social media marketing is much better and you could argue they have the strongest main channels after 7:30pm at the moment and are therefore concentrated on Lego and MasterChef et al.
Must just be a multichannel thing as from what I’ve seen on the main channel (from 3pm to 7pm usually when I’m watching) it’s endless House Rules, 7News, H&A, BH&G promos and not much else besides the odd promo for something on 7Two or 7Mate.
Yes and also seems to depend on the day of the week and time of day (e.g.) you rarely see promos for any program on any channel on the prior Monday or Sunday days out (occasionally you will but it’s rare). Another example is the Saturday movie at 7pm is usually only promoted after the Friday one’s started airing (so Friday night and during Saturday).
That lazy 5sec thing now being used for The Simpsons (rather than the normal longer promos twice every 30min… As there’s so many eps each night now)
Does anyone have clip of what they look like in action?
i’ve never liked these. i miss traditional idents
