Seven On-Air Presentation

Some of their AFL promos give me a very NFL vibe.

That font is… not great.

What makes you say that? I think it’s quite nice.

That main text is really poorly laid out.

It could either be read as, “7, your home of sport” or “Your home of 7 Sport.

Considering they have a 7 Sport logo, I would have tried to differentiate the two and not used such a big text ‘SPORT’ next to the channel logo.

Looks clearly like the former to me.

A pretty ugly sport opener just aired for a total of 5 seconds

Very dated and uninspired design

Seven’s 2000 ribbon logo was and is far better than the flat red being used now. Probably an unpopular opinion since everyone seems to be a fan of flat everything these days but I wish they had kept that around longer.

I must be the only one who likes it!

I thought the goal posts as the ‘slash’ was quite a fun idea…

It’s fun. But it looks like something from 2006.

Noticed Seven’s 7pm Border Security eps on Saturdays (if old re-runs) have been seemingly airing the original master tapes as was broadcast, think these end of program split-screen graphics are from at least 2005. Complete with Grant Bowler’s “next time” and promo.

Strange. Seven’s TV editions or whoever prepares/reviews these before ingestion would surely notice it?

Old graphics packages are not a significant enough issue for a tape operator to query.

At this point it’s likely that this is the only copy to air.

Just saw a pop-up saying West Coast Eagles Playing Now! Switch Now 7

I was more getting at why wouldn’t the split-screen and promo have been removed altogether, completely irrelevant some 16 years later.
