Clearly, given the timing, it is to do with the new way these bulletins are recorded. Perhaps, with more Jo, less chance of having to do a full retake lol.

Same thing was said about Sharyn Ghidella (sacked), Kay McGrath & Rod Young (shafted to weekends), Graeme Goodings (sacked), Jessica Adamson (sacked), Georgina Lewis (sacked), Rebecca Morse (Sacked), and a whole lot of others over the years.
I don’t have an issue with Rob, actually find him authoritative, although yes, he may take a few bulletins to get used to. Coming from someone who was watching the occasional few bulletins across the state for a while a few months back.
True, but 7Q is a bit like Perth in that it has a bit more free reign. But bumping him will be less about cost and more thay he’s just getting worse as a reader.
Apparently the local staff aren’t the biggest fan of him either
Oh - in person he’s vastly different to the guy-next-door newsreader on TV.
Updates for the mornings and those used during “The Chase” are recorded in the main studio. Only evening updates are recorded on green screen in the small studio.
Thought I’d point out that despite the comments of each bulletin being recorded “live”,
end ends of both these bulletins were in fact identical (the “Ask Livio” portion and the closer).
7NEWS updates from right across Regional QLD. Emily Steinhardt presented these news updates @ 8:53pm - all seen during MKR tonight.
Sport presenter Nathan Spurling co-presented the recorded bulletins with Jo last week, in addition to still doing sport. Interesting….
Also, laptops now on the desk.
Also Joanne Desmond has been co-presenting with Nathan on the Sunshine Coast apparently.
If true, good riddance. Not a great person to be around.
sad wink (again) ![]()
Apologies - must’ve gotten my wires crossed.
Ned Balme presented with Joanne Desmond tonight.
Has Ned presented before?
