Seven News Presenters and Reporters (2015-Sept 2020)

Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case. Ever since he was appointed as the regular weeknight presenter, Seven News Sydney have heavily promoted Mark Ferguson to the point that it’s possibly detrimental to any superior weekend/fill-in presenters.

Mel had her own update ender last year (the one with the camera insanely close to the desk) but I think they switched to just using the Fergo ones this year (don’t watch TV on the weekends so I wouldn’t know).

Yeah, I remember there being a Update Endtag with Mel last year. I can’t remember if they were still running any Promo/Updates with Mel Doyle between the relaunch and when she finished reading news on Friday/Saturday nights, but I rarely ever watch Seven anymore so can’t confirm for sure.

How long has it been since Nick read a bulletin?

NICK NcCALLUM!

Great to see the stalwart reading Seven News in Melbourne tonight.

Especially seeing every TV in Victoria is probably on Ch 7 (from yesterday)

New main fill-in? Jen or Mitch’s replacement one day? How old is he?

and seemingly all lost the ability to change channels over the following 24 hours?

Seven News Melbourne’s 2nd longest serving journo Michael Felgate, presenting sport tonight.

^ Not the best presenter. Michael Felgate is on sport ( who is much better than both the regular weeknight and weekend presenters IMO).

Nick reminds me of Rob Brough.

Does anyone have video of Nick presenting?

I just realised that Seven News had an all female team presenting the news on weekends throughout this year (not anymore though).

Sydney - Mel Doyle (former, replaced by Usher this month)
Melbourne - Jennifer Keyte
Brisbane - Kay McGrath
Adelaide - Jessica Adamson
Perth - Angela Tsun

Only on Saturdays

And of course, it has to be said that Seven News Sydney does Sunday-Thursday and Friday/Saturday presenting rosters primarily because that what Nine News Sydney does.

Who will read weekends in perth maybe Blake or Sam

I think Blake, with Sam staying on Weather. Really wish they would use Blake more…

Exactly, great presenter - should present 4:30 News like he used to!

Do Blake and Sam still present the Saturday bulletin together or has that changed?

Michael joined Seven Melbourne in December 2004 but Luke let’s not forget that Michael did quit Seven in March 2012 to join Centrebet and rejoined Seven in 2014.

I am pretty sure that changed at the start of this year. Angela Tsun swapped her weather duties to anchor the weekend news both Saturday and Sundays ( good move, as she is probably the front runner to replace Carr) and Sam now does Seven News Perth’s weather. I think Blake moved to reporting and fill-in on the local 4.30 News.
