Seven News Presenters and Reporters (2015-Sept 2020)

No, but I’d like to think Matt Carmichael or Michelle Bishop would be the front runner.

Since the George Floyd/BLM thread has been locked, this is the best place to post this:

In the early hours of tomorrow morning (Australian time), Amelia Brace will be testifying before the US House Committee on Natural Resources in an oversight hearing about Lafayette Square being cleared out to enable Trump to do his photo op in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church a few weeks ago

The hearing which begins at 2am AEST can be viewed via the above link

Mel has gone from being likeable in the humble early days of Sunrise to reading her own publicity…blinking her eyes down the lens in two-way interviews. Very overrated talent who lessened the appeal of The Latest when thrown in to co-present.

Seven’s US correspondent Amelia Brace who along with her camera man was attacked by police outside the White House gave evidence overnight to an enquiry into police actions.

Footage has shown Brace, a reporter with Australia’s Seven News, and her cameraman Tim Myers being confronted by law enforcement. Video shows Myers being hit in the stomach with an officer’s shield and his camera being punched.

“Tim suffered what I would describe as a harder hit than what I did … with the shield to his stomach and then the camera was punched which put it back into his face. He also was hit with a nonlethal projectile in the back of the neck,” Brace testified on Monday.

The reporter added that she was hit across the back with a baton and hit in the legs with projectiles.

Completely disagree. I think she’s slotted on well on The Latest and complimented Michael Usher well when they presented together.

Just a shout out to Paul Dowsley… he’s doing well in a lot of these media conferences between government state and local officials.

I think this is Sean’s first time presenting sport on the Morning News, will be some good national exposure for him

No l have seen Sean presenting sport on occasion on Morning News before but obviously not in recent years.
It seems the role on Morning News will be filled by whoever is available in the Sydney or Melbourne newsroom - Matt Carmichael, Jacqueline Felgate,Sean Sowerby etc.

This must be the first time he presents sport on the Morning News.

On a side note, I have seen him personally (bumped into him at last year’s GWS vs Western Bulldogs elimination final where he was covering the match for Seven News in Melbourne).

Wednesday 01st July -

Mike Amor will be presenting the Melbourne/Adelaide afternoon news from outside Highpoint Shopping Centre today

That’s a bit ridic isn’t it?

Edit - just saw on Mikes insta he calls Highpoint the ‘epicentre of the second wave’. Not sure either of those facts are correct.

It isn’t really the “epicentre” of the second wave. Maybe he was trying to talk about Highpoint City (which is Highpoint) as being one of the affected areas.
