Great go see some ex WIN staff being picked up by other newsrooms.
Susannah Carr presented 4pm news today and doing solo again at 6pm
Thursday 18 July -
Jim Wilson presented sport in Sydney.
Friday 19 July -
Blake Johnson is presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne.
Friday 19 July & Saturday 20 July -
Emily Angwin presenting weather in Melbourne.
I’m assuming Blake will be permanently reading the Friday Afternoon News these days.
It would be good to see him do a national bulletin. I don’t think he’s ever done one?
Estelle Griepink on weather tonight in Melbourne (20/7), first time she has presented.
She’s better than Melina Sarris and Emily Angwin, and dare I say it even Jane Bunn!
She did very well for her first time on weather.
Sunday 21 July -
Mark Ferguson is back presenting in Sydney tonight.
Tim Watson is back presenting sport in Melbourne.
Jim Wilson presented sport in Sydney.
Chris Reason is in Tokyo.
Hugh Whitfeld is back from holidays.
Wednesday 24 July -
Melbourne reporter Sharnelle Vella is reporting from London.
7 News Sydney should throw whatever they can at Jo Griggs to entice her back to the sports presenter role, preferably weeknights, now her time is a bit more open.
Sydney reporter Cameron Price returned this week after a month off (presumably for a holiday).
I don’t think seven will be changing their presenting line up, especially with the recent ratings.
After three weeks reporting from London Sarah Greenhalgh has returned to reporting in Brisbane this week.
Monday 22 July & Friday 26 July -
Jacqueline Felgate is back presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne this week.
Nah, I reckon Michelle Bishop should become Sydney’s main Sunday-Thursday sports presenter if Mel McLaughlin ever leaves.
Not sure about the rest of the market, but I personally wish that Seven News Sydney had better news/sports presenters and often wonder what their ratings would be like now if they persisted with Bathie & Jim (who’s banter I quite enjoyed. Fergo & McLaughlin, not so much) for a little while longer!
Nine News Sydney smashed Seven News Sydney by 60k during the first half hour last night! Still ahead by 54k at 6.30pm, too.
Let’s see what happens tonight.
Friday 26 July -
Emily Angwin is presenting weather in Melbourne.
