Great to see Angie given more opportunities to present at 6pm recently.

Mark’s contract expires in 2020, perhaps an Usher/Asimus (or Usher/Cox?) team could be closer to becoming reality than we imagine? Although I doubt Seven has the balls to make any radical changes despite Nine continuing to dominate.

(Or maybe they’ll do the smart thing and pick up Georgie Gardner when Nine bones her :smiling_imp:)

Paraphrasing the close in Brisbane tonight: Paul Burt frantically waving on monitor to the complete disinterest of Kay McGrath and Pat Welsh in studio. Kay then indicates this to Pat, who turns but by this stage Paul has given up.

I personally don’t think Angie would be the right choice for replacement. If TODAY keeps on rating the way it is, I could see 7 luring Georgie back over and offering her the Sun-thurs gig

I agree. Needs to be Usher and/or Doyle IMO.

If Seven News Sydney really want to poach presenters from Nine, they should just get the chequebook out for Peter Overton and/or Deborah Knight and ask what it’d take for them to defect.

I wonder if they’d still be interested in Karl? Which was the original plan.

Do we think Seven will keep Mark Ferguson after 2020?

Karl cannot front news. He is no different to Fordham presenting news. Absolutely horrendous. They cannot go 5 mins without trying to say something stupid or crack a joke

An ideal candidate for Sydney 6pm
