@SA_TV Ryan is the regular newsreader presenting news updates on The Morning Show and The Daily Edition.
I haven’t seen him presenting bulletins as yet.But wouldn’t surprise me he will be used as a fill in.
Ryan Phelan previously double-headed the 4pm news with Kellie Sloane in summer 2013.
And early 2014 with Sally Bowrey. He is actually not that bad, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did more news anchoring roles, since he has nothing else to do.
Sally Bowrey presented the Morning News today.
My understanding is that Sally reads the Morning/Afternoon News every Friday since late last year due to Ann doing the double shifts.
Monday (02.05.16): Ryan Phelan is reading Morning and Afternoon News today.
Ryan Phelan presenting Tuesday Morning & Afternoon national News.
Ann returned on Wednesday.
Thursday (05.05.16)-Friday (06.05.16): Samantha Brett presented the Early News
It was nice to see Melbourne newsreader Jennifer Keyte appear as an guest on 'The Daily Edition ’ for the press file segment this week.

During the Election coverage today, I saw former Nine News Queensland reporter Cameron Price in Sydney, IIRC he was involved in the Choppergate Scandal. How long has he been with Seven?
Not long. He was with Sky for a while before.
Jim Wilson doing sport in Sydney tonight.
Because Mel McLaughlin is at the Logies, of course!
Herald Sun reports Jane Bunn did not present weather on Tuesday’s bulletin as she was mourning the passing of her dog Stampy. She returned last night.
I think she is working 6 days a week at the moment anyway isn’t she? Sunday to Friday.
Herald Sun always reporting the big issues.
I thought the same thing and did an but didn’t want to be the first to say it out loud lol

Reason rates worse than Ferguson. He is not the answer.
Then who is the answer? At least with Chris the promos with the words ‘trusted’ ‘experienced’ and ‘respected’ would actually be true. I know why people don’t Chris- because he is wooden ( a word used to describe Mark)- and I understand that. @SydneyCityTV I know double headers don’t have a good track record for both networks at 6 in Sydney and Melbourne (has Nine ever had a double header in those cities- I don’t think so.) But I think that Melissa and Reaso would balance each other out. IMO, Melissa hasn’t got what it takes to make Seven News number 1,possibly a lack of authority? But she is very welcoming, good with bantering, warming and compassionate which Reaso lacks. Whereas Reaso has authority, the seriousness, the experience which IMO Melissa lacks. ( to help with this, I know it is trivial, but remove Melissa’s nickname ‘Mel’ from Sunrise in any circumstances and use reference to Melissa- should help with image). I know it is not ideal, but with both Melissa and Chris at least they would together have the qualities of a good news anchor - a little like Peter Overton. All in all, my views don’t matter as I don’t live in Sydney. I put my trust into Sydney/NSW siders to know who/what is best. Just my opinion.
To the best of my understanding, Nine News Sydney and Melbourne has never had dual presenters for it’s main bulletin. Certainly not within the last few decades anyway.
Anyway…personally I’d prefer to see Mel (not in a duo, on her own) present Seven News Sydney on Sunday-Thursday on a regular/full time basis but for a variety of reasons, I can’t see that happening anytime soon.
