Hopefully that means some good change for Seven News Perth which are stuck back in the 2000’s
Howard will probably have to give 3 months notice before he leaves!!!
I know they don’t need to do something but man they need to do something. Here’s hoping this is the beginning of that.
Chris Reason presenting Morning News today
Melina Sarris is back presenting Saturday Melbourne weather this week.
Josh Massoud’s employment with Seven News Sydney has come to an end after being suspended over that much reported incident a few weeks back.
Admittedly this is according to the gossip section of today’s Sunday Telegraph (so make of that what you will), but I think this is something everyone saw coming.
He was no asset to Seven anyway, so he can take his obnoxious attitude off tv screens.
Good. Now for Jason Morrison and Craig McPherson to go the same way (they’re useless to Seven News).
…not to mention Mark Ferguson. Sorry, but he just doesn’t work as a Sydney 6pm newsreader!
Also, some of the other dodgy reporters (by that, I mean they’re not very good journalists) at Seven like Bryan Seymour, Robert Ovadia and Laura Banks.
Even though sacking or firing reporters is by no means a good thing, I personally think Helen Wellings and Mel McLaughlin should also be on the cutting block.
IMO, the best reporters in Seven Sydney are:
- Chris Reason
- Chris Maher
- Paul Kadak
- Angie Asimus
- Sally Bowrey
- Freya Cole
- Alex Hart
- Samantha Brett
- Jessica Ridley
- Evan Batten
- Tom Sacre
- Matt Carmichael
And that’s about it really.
I don’t really have any problems with Helen Wellings, except that the 6pm bulletin isn’t the right platform for the genre of reporting (consumer affairs) she specialises in.
Mel McLaughlin? Yeah, I’ve never warmed to her as a Sports Presenter.
I probably would’ve had Chris Maher on the list over Paul Kadak, but aside from that I agree.
Another Sunday Telegraph report concerning the treatment of a long serving senior cameraman describes the workplace as “toxic and dysfunctional”. Staff turnover of late would certainly suggest all is not well in the Sydney newsroom.
Right above the Josh Massoud article in today’s print edition is a report on Craig Andrews, Seven News Sydney chief cameraman, who has worked for the network for 35 years but took stress leave last July claiming he had been intimidated and bullied at work. Andrews’ son Jack set up a GoFundMe page to help finance a lawsuit against Seven. Sad story indeed.
Alex Hart presented the 5pm News this Sunday.
Jim Wilson is presenting Sydney sport tonight.
I don’t usually comment on (or notice) these things but Kay has a very different hair style tonight.
In contrast to Saturday
She’s also wearing different clothes
