She rose through the ranks in recent years at Ten News, even travelling overseas for an “exclusive”.
She’s very good, developed quickly & should be a key journo for Seven. Watch this space.

Nothing new there, it was discussed in the Ten News Presenters and Reporters thread when she finished up about 6 weeks ago back on the 4th of August.
Freya Cole is presenting weather on Morning News/Sydney 4pm & 6pm News today,filling in for Angie Asimus.
Much better option than Samantha Brett…
But I still think they should be using Sarah Cumming if not as Sydney’s main Friday/Saturday weather presenter, then certainly as the main fill-in weather presenter whenever Brown & Asimus are unavailable.
I certainly hope Sarah goes to Friday/Saturday weather presenter. Angie’s got the 5pm news on weekends so it’s not like she’s demoted or anything.
That might not be wise since this would remind most viewers would of how Sarah was just supposedly dumped for Brownie without any explanation…

Probably the first time Freya Cole has presented a Seven News bulletin (Yes, I’m well aware that she presented quite a few during her time at Prime7!) since joining the network earlier this year?
Freya has presented the Early News bulletin this year.
I believe she presented a few Early News bulletins at the start of this year did she not (while Jodie Speers and Samantha Brett were both on maternity leave)?

Freya is a great young talent and was particularly impressive on the Early news. Probably moving on the very big things in the future.
Freya Cole also presenting Sunday 5PM bulletin. She appears to be filling Angie’s role while she is on holidays. It is also interesting to note that there seems to be no opening voiceover for her yet.
