Flashbacks to 2024 with the ‘Age of Reason’ cover anyone?
Go back to using a remixed version of the 7NEWS theme (like the Nobody Knows News Like 7NEWS from 2020 or the one from the promos from late 2020.. the one that had that awkward close up of Fergo that some members made a laugh out of lol)

Though I might add, Alex has got a custom v/o which goes as:
“Seven’s Afternoon News, with Alex Cullen, Starts Now”.. and it has that loudy shouty v/o out (y’know, the same one who does ‘Live from Melbourne, This is Seven News with Peter Mitchell’) Yeah.. about to go through Round 2 of it.. in 3 minutes.. when the 4.30 re-opener starts
Also Melbourne’s set looks fairly void from the opening shot.. 7NEWS Brisbane set flasbacks anyone?

I’m sorry - it’s nicely made but it’s dreadful.
Another Australian news promo set to a maudlin pop music cover, featuring staff talking about how important they think their job is interspersed with images of news events - is there no imagination anywhere in these promo departments?
No message, no USP, apart from the 7+ plug it could have been made any time in the last 25 years.

And ironically, the notification thing during the ASHES, quoted ‘Pink Ashes Test - Delayed due to Bad Light’. You’d think it would’ve been lightning. Gnarly Storm over Sydney right now

- The delay was caused by the bad light and not the lightning or rain, which is an important distinction when determining the resumption of play.
