It was the top story on Weekend Sunrise. I am not sure there was a need to break into programming.
Will we get the Kay McGrath VO again gor Sarahâs return?
If only ADC was still in charge. All network VOs would be the TikTok AI girl voice
I assume more information will be released in the coming days.
The Afternoon Show? ![]()
thisAFTERNOON
From the loos of it, Alex seems like he will be the sole host for this show.
The question being, are viewers looking for more news at 3pm albeit in a magazine-type format? Or do they prefer a game show. Seven could potentially be gifting Nine a bunch of viewers at 3pm.
wasnât The Daily Edition only axed a few years back? sounds like the same thing.
Am still surprised that Seven are going to relaunch âThis Afternoon Daily Edition Nine News Now The Seven Edition @3pm with Alex Cullen and Friendsâ.
That means that from 5am until 7pm, there will be a total of 11 hours from a possible 14 hours of news and live talk shows? Assuming that the new 3pm show will go for 2 hours as previously been discussed some time ago.
5.00: Early News
5.30: Sunrise
9.00: The Morning Show
12.00: Midday News
1.00: Reality repeats/ movie
3.00: The Afternoon Show
5.00: The Chase with further more gimmicks
6.00: News
Talk about overkill with the same genre. And imagine those slow news days when they repeat the same âcat stuck in treeâ stories all day long. Riveting stuff there.
I canât understand how they can sustain having so many different presenters hosting all these different programs in the medium to long term.
Already confirmed that 4pm news is staying.
Having said that - whereâs the late news / The Latest? A glaring omission still from Seven.
Thanks for the clarification re it being an one hour show and that the 4pm News is staying.
Agree with the Late News / The Latest. Very surprised that Seven havenât capitalised on it - especially this year - with the overrun from the AFL type shows they have, and the AFL itself on Thursday nights. Like what Nine does with their Late News leading in from the NRL and various NRL + AFL Panel shows.
Seven and Nine just about copy each other with everything else. Why not the Late News?
What would look good there would be a news ticker across the building.
Whoâs down in Docklands to read it? ![]()
I have faith in the show given who the producer is. He did a great job launching âThe Latestâ.
I donât think the 4pm local news is going anywhere.
The Collins Street precinct is busy these days. Especially near the Southern Cross Station area.
