What does FIRST mean in this watermark? First on the scene (we used to see that a lot when there were 2 Gold Coast bulletins) or first to get the vision to air? Or something else?
Either way it seems to be of minor importance to the viewer especially when promoted with such a big watermark and do I really care hours after the event? A smaller corner message would be enough.
Promoting the vision as first must imply that the opposition were second, so they have footage as well. So no need to protect this with a huge watermark.
Is it possible that they could combine the Director of News and Current Affairs with the Perth News Director role? I remember hearing that the role didnât exist under Peter Meakin until the early 2010s
The safe programming choice would be to keep 4pm, at least until you know that the 3pm format is successful. But I would be interested to see how stripping the filler from the local news and nationalising it in to a new 90-min show and then do a straight 30 min local afternoon news at 4.30pm would go?
With Sean Power at the helm, Iâd tip Teegan Dolling to be involved.
Anything they try at 3pm is going to be up against it. Going to need lots of promotion or something novel? Tipping Point UK is the competition on 9. Thatâs where 7âs woes all began.
Long version of a promo now running for Monday night regarding a âsimple new check upâ âspotting rare cancersâ ends with âhow you can book in for free and do it for Magdaâ. Have only seen shorter versions since that omit the final line.
