It was off D2 today. Came up after a news feed of a fire somewhere in Queensland.

Well we basically do have 24 hours of it now on the main channel. A new bulletin at every time of the day - almost rolling all daytime. Add in a drawn out reality tentpole at 7:30pm and you have Aussie TV in 2016. Yawn.
If Seven News in Regional Queensland with Rob Brough and Joanne Desmond Ever Expand, to Include National News as Well as Pre-Recorded Local Bulletins with the Sunshine Coast Bulletin Live, THey Need to Expand it to One Hour just like the Nine Network’s Northern NSW Owned NBN.
There doesn’t seem to be too many current/recent montages from Perth online (at least from what I’ve seen anyway), so last night I decided to record the full hour of Seven News/Today Tonight off the livestream and edit together a montage of the 6pm news/current affairs efforts over in the West. Obviously I’ve kept in the elements of TT so you get a basic idea of what watching the full hour is like:
Personally, I’m not a fan of how the main presenters (of either Seven News or TT) don’t do a proper farewell. Also, that desk is far too big IMO!

It’s been like that for over a year and it’s taken this long for some one to complain. Really!!!
I’ve complained before that it seems TVW is allergic to “Goodnight”

I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time it’s come up.
I don’t get it personally. Do Seven really think that viewers are going to switch to Nine halfway through the hour? They should redesign that studio so that TT can start from the sports position and do a proper handover.

When did they stop showing the lotto draw at 6:30? Is that another attempt at stopping people switching over? That handover to TT is ridiculous.
First look at Seven News in ages, and that theme and set are as horrible as ever.

They sort of have a sign-off on the Weekend bulletin. It goes like, “And that’s Seven News for now, for updates on our stories go to the Seven News Perth Facebook, or visit thewest.com.au. Now here’s your Saturday/Sunday movie, [insert movie title here].” Not really a “Goodnight”, but some form of a sign-off.
Recently I think. They have said a few times after the weather it will be shown in “full”, but I haven’t seen that yet.

Look how terrible the virtual set looks at 6:30 when the camera is zooming into Monica…the screen and backing just kinda stops

It was not there two days ago when it started being used on the national bulletin, nor was it seen yesterday. Just saying that Perth is using it now, and I’d imagine it’s now being used nationwide.
Pity they don’t put as much effort into ensuring a respectable and informative selection of news stories.
