Golly gosh this combined Victoria/South Australia bulletin is car crash telly today.
It’s embarassing, but I can’t turn away.
Vision, OTS, graphics, super, audio, camera mistakes aplenty.

Not sure why Seven can’t just produce their 4pm bulletin in Adelaide with one of their senior reporters like Mike Smithson if they want to cut costs.
Surely it doesn’t cost that much more to run the Adelaide bulletin from Adelaide? The Melbourne/Adelaide bulletin sounds like a mess.
I’m sure Adelaide will be fascinated to hear the list of Melbourne postcodes that are being locked down!
Webcam falls down during cross:
You name it. They’ve messed it up today.
I can’t remember the last time I watched a news bulletin with so many mistakes and errors.
It’s worse than something you would see on regional affiliate Prime!
The Adelaide version of the 4pm news ended differently today - there was no weather presenter. The rundown to 5pm was
Sponsor board /Traffic 0:30
Weather and closer 0:45
Earleir, the backdrop for the opening story was wrong - the late news of the postcode lockdowns had to take precedence over the AFL story that was originally to lead the bulletin.
Melbourne is by far the more important market. They won’t wanna do that
It’s a complete mess.
It just doesn’t work for both cities.
They need to make it a full national bulletin.
Looks fine to me, but The Morning Show has nothing to do with that schedule.
And last week in Brisbane, the 6pm preview on the Afternoon News was back on the desk instead of “from the newsroom”. This week, sport is back at the desk.
Who actually read the weather? Rosanna?
Yes
From yesterday, HD caps of Melbourne/Adelaide 4pm news:
Adelaide insert:
Adelaide 6pm - it looks like they don’t do set wideshots anymore:
4pm is very clearly a Melbourne bulletin, not a joint ADL/MEL bulletin
Must have sold the wide shot camera
Interestingly, going to the ad break at 11:45, Mike Amor said “Back soon, across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania”
Also of note, there was no weather “snapshots” at all during the bulletin (apart obviously from the final weather report).
They should at least get Jane Bunn to do a combined snapshot in the middle of the bulletin (or a general national weather update).
Surprised Seven didn’t go local into Melbourne this morning for the Morning News.
This bulletin and the way it’s presented is really very sensationalist.
