I don’t mind this logo on the side screen.
Its clear they’re trying to keep the local perspective for Melbourne viewers with random Adelaide stories thrown in.
At 4.52 - they crossed to Peter Mitchell and a local Traffic report. I’m assuming this was a local insert?
I’m assuming from 4.52 was a local insert for each market?
From the 29:35 mark Seven Afternoon News Sydney (22/6) faced some audio issues and was also present during a live cross to Gemma Acton at the desk
(26/6) At 53:44 Max appears at the desk and not the newsroom?
Given the time-difference, you would think that at some point after 5pm Melbourne time, Adelaide weather/traffic etc would be recorded.
I noticed a lot of references to “we” as in Victorians and “here” as in Victoria that really could have been skipped for the sake of Adelaide.
Agree, they could do it after 5.00pm when Melbourne has finished.
How long was the preview? So a part from the local weather at the end, there was no Adelaide window insert for news, just local stories incorporated into the Melbourne bulletin? Was the closer and that from Melbourne?
Everything after the last ad break was Adelaide - approx 4:40 min of content
The traffic was 0:40
Local update/6pm headlines 2:30
Weather 1:40
Fluff and closer 0:30
No. It looks like Melbourne and Adelaide have their own local live inserts from 4.52. This includes a live cross to the local 6pm presenter (for an update at whats coming up), then a local traffic report, followed by a local weather report. Laurel controls both.
Was this closer shown in Adelaide? And did Jane appear at all for Adelaide viewers?
From after the last ad break to 5pm was all Adelaide (for 4:40 min). The sign off was by Amelia at the end of weather.
Rosanna is presenting the 6pm bulletin tonight.
If they have people in the Adelaide studios putting out content from
4pm, how much $ can they really be saving here?
Sorry I probably should’ve said that I meant Jane Bunn (ie: did they show any Melbourne weather for Adelaide)
No - runndow to 5pm was
The traffic was 0:40
Local update/6pm headlines 2:30
SA Weather 1:40
Fluff and closer 0:30
In the ratings - the Adelaide numbers have been listed in the ratings report for today. Not sure what info can be gained at this point as people who tuned in would probably not have know about the changes; so it is more what happens in the coming weeks.
In Adelaide Seven rated higher than the previous Monday while Nine was down 33%. In Melbourne, however, Seven’s afternoon news was down 12% from the previous Monday while Nine was 15% higher.
