Found a blooper on YT that aired 7 Perth the other day.
Mike in the studio in Melbourne, but no camera movement and OTS on the opposite side.
I sense changes are afoot!!
Was a very tight opening shot!
Update - Sport and weather both OBâs. No shots outside of the tight shot and single desk shot for the whole bulletin.
the scrapping? to save costs. theyâd be paying a licence fee every year to use the Mission.
the reversal? backlash, they decided theyâd better pay the fee and find savings elsewhere.
The 2014 theme was actually quite nice, it just wasnât implemented well. Unfortunately the worst bit was the climax but the headline bed was genuinely good.
A major problem with the 2014 theme is that there were too many individual elements of the theme competing for each other - itâs like the composer couldnât settle on a single âmoodâ for the theme so decided to incorporate a few favourites!
I also think Seven Newsâ shortlived 2014 theme sounded far too light for sombre stories or big breaking news. Imagine this Summerâs bushfire crisis being read over it - probably wouldâve sounded just a tad inappropriate!
Back then, they used to hang people for being 1 day late with payments.
There were no shots of the set on the Morning News. Perhaps a set relaunch (which I strongly doubt, given the current Seven News Sydney set was only installed less than 12 months ago) is on the cards?
HmmâŚnot quite. Debuted around 4 years ago.
Melbourne?
Sorry I meant got a refresh. The two side panels (one of which where sport is presented) on the set and the desk were changed.
There was a wideshot of the set at the start of todayâs Sydney 4pm bulletin.
Moving right alongâŚ
Slight changes to set and new city backdrop in Melbourne.
Underwhelming.
Lol so did they just move the desk to the right?
Whatâs the point?
The only scenario I can think of is HSV drooling at ABCâs new set but doesnât have any money for something like that so they make an absolutely unnecessary change
Looks like they just moved the desk.
Yeah, well it didnât look like Sydney for the Morning News.
Fire Mikeâs make-up artist.
