Obviously, for Hobart, there’s a fuss between corporate and regional parties. More details on another thread.
Anyone else watching 7 News Sydney and noticed their lead story still hasn’t aired?
What about Canberra?
Mike Amor mentioned a podcast was now available at various outlets at the end of the Melbourne bulletin this evening, not sure if it’s this one (The Lady Vanishes).
Oversight blunder from Seven?
Not entirely sure what purpose the location selector serves other than localised site banners? Article content on the home page doesn’t seem to change (yet). And there’s the separate “Local News” tab with each state/territory anyway.

Promotion for the podcast seen at the end of tonight’s Sydney News.
I looked at the end of the Melbourne bulletin on 7plus, and indeed Mike Amor was talking about the News Fix podcast by Angela Cox.
And in Brisbane and on Weekend Sunrise
Melbourne is now having Jane walk and talk while the camera zooms in on her during her weather preview. Nice that it doesn’t zoom all the way in to the screen.
It looks good.
Looks great. Just a shame David Brown isn’t there.
That looks heaps better! Hope they keep doing it. Great presentation.!
I’ve been looking at those new screens on the Sydney bulletin, and they just don’t have a purpose. The static images at the start of the bulletin just look off. Wish they had’ve just put the Melbourne set up there.

Agree, very poor implementation and shows how poorly designed the set was to begin with.
The money would have been better spent revamping the huge wall behind the Sunrise desk to incoprorate a bigger screen there. Or put towards a new, properly multipurpose set with a single desk and no moving parts (ie set panels). This current set has not aged well at all.
With the benefit of hindsight, I’m sure Seven regret not waiting another year or so (well OK, not waiting for Nine to launch their current one) before launching a new Sydney/national news set!

Yep, I agree. The sad thing is that we’ll probably be stuck with the current version for another 2-3 years.

Especially considering the money they would’ve spent on those new side screens.

Yet Perth still gets a green canvas purchased from Spotlight…
