Personally, I wouldn’t be overly surprised if Seven News Sydney is very slowly losing confidence in Mark Ferguson.
But with the Commonwealth Games in April and Deb replacing GG on Nine (they’d probably want to see how the “Usher vs Deb” battle goes on Friday/Saturday before pushing him into the deep end), I can see Seven News Sydney keeping their current strategy intact for at least the first half of 2018.

Unsure if anyone else has noted this on MS, but Tim Hatfield spotted in his SAS7 role presenting a story on toxic sunscreen for the afternoon bulletin.
Is his role at SAS7 a producer and relief reporter, or a fulltime reporter?

Tim has been filing quite a number of reports over the summer, his role has rotated between COS, Producer, Reporter

Becasue of the Australian Open next week there will be no Morning News, Afternoon News or Gold Coast News from Seven.

Seven Morning News and Gold Coast News will return on day 12 of the Australian Open - Friday 26 January. Afternoon News is (assumed) back the following week.
