I think the Sunday (June 4) schedule for Adelaide is incorrect, the AFL doubleheader will take place on the day before i.e. Saturday.
BTW, Saturday’s clash against Hawthorn is the second of three Port Adelaide matches to be shown on delay on FTA in South Australia.

I think some of the scheduling decisions above are indicative as to how they expect the cricket to rate (perhaps a safe guard just in case too), such as not moving Home and Away (usually 500k metro give or take and low-mid 100k in Sydney and Melbourne) and AFL staying put in Melbourne and even Adelaide (anywhere from high 100k to 400k and up to mid-100k respectively teams dependent).
This strategy was done successfully for last year’s Comm Games and very recently for King Coronation (though back-fired with Melbourne), however is in contrast to their previous Olympics/ Winter Olympics/ Comm Games where everything including AFL in Melbourne (bar News) is rested or moved to 7mate.
Will be interesting to see what Nine do with Ashes (unsure what NRL’s view would be or contract but will get a better idea next year when they have the Olympics - can’t recall what happened in 2012) and Seven again with Womens World Cup.
Seven will be hoping for good weather and competitive innings.

They’ve moved BH&G and cricket takes over from 7:30pm each night, so in Sydney and Brisbane at least, they’re expecting/hoping for decent ratings (I’d guess mid-100k at least in the former) and combined with AFL in other markets, as well as news and m/c, shares should go really high for Seven (but yes save for rain delays/wash out/one sided). It’ll be interesting to see how it goes up against Nine’s NRL in those markets. And how many will tune-in on 7mate in Melbourne for example. 7mate could be in for some 2023 high shares (cricket Melb + Adel + AFL West Coast/Frem Per if that situation occurs on Friday/Sat/Sun).
Re: Million Dollar Island
With MDI premiering on June 12, what will happen to The 1% Club? I think the show still has three episodes to go in the first season, after episode 7 next Monday.

An 8:30pm / 9pm timeslot maybe? Could still rate well, even if a dud lead-in (decent promotion permitting). Would lead to good shares too, especially if MDI rates.

I think this will do better than Balloon show but don’t expect amazing things, probably high 300k’s or low to mid 400k

That’s still quite unacceptable for a network like Seven or Nine, or even 10. They need this to be 500K at least which isn’t going to happen.

That’s the figures Nine’s Summit has been doing and they stuck with it, also airing endless encores.
I think, like Nine have been reiterating (via TVT articles this week) it’s also about VOZ (total audience) and overseas sales, the latter two could still do well for MDI even if initial overnight broadcast doesn’t look hot. So there’ll be at least another week after to wait yet (save for a launch or 2 eps in of 200k metro Blow Up esque numbers again - but given the cost/seeming production values and somewhat anticipation of this vs Blow Up I think even that low they’d wait a few more eps first).

According to the Million Dollar Island press release posted in its thread by @TV.Cynic, Million Dollar Island will premiere at 7.00, with Home and Away out (unless it was an error).

It’s a smart move, considering how well the strategy seems to work in the past for them, even if annoying for loyal H&A viewers which has also been performing strong in 2023. Wouldn’t be surprised if roadblocked for 1-5min across their m/c (bar Bravo) at 7pm too to get any more eyes across to the main. And with all the promotion already and upcoming this week during Chase, news, H&A, 1%, the special cricket test and 5 FTA AFL games in Melbourne alone (including Thursday back, a special public holiday eve & Sunday prime time and the traditional Big Freeze/Monday Kings Birthday clash leading-in to Seven News and then the launch… Seven will be bitterly disappointed if it flops hard on debut!
