Seven Network 2021

However The Block has around 50 episodes. SAS has 12, The Voice about 18 and not sure how many Big Brother VIP will have.

Too many !

When Celebrity Big Brother aired on Ten in 2002, it ran for 24 episodes. I would expect Big Brother VIP to have a similar length.

7 have The Voice, 2x seasons of SAS, BB:VIP, another FWAW, and a few other short run shows in the can. There are only 14 ratings weeks after the olympics, should be more than enough to fill the calendar without AGT or extending other shows.

The second season of SAS and the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife (not the one currently showing) won’t be screened until next year.

The promo for RFDS looks good too.

The article reveals for the first time a new mini-series coming in 2022:

It also has a two-part drama on The Claremont Serial Killings coming next year from Screentime.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Seven put The Voice up against MAFS in Q1 next year given how strongly its performed so far.

I would. The Voice is a strong performer but MAFS is also a stronger opponent. The Voice would be crushed against MAFS. Keep The Voice where it is so it destroys The Block.

The question is - which of Seven’s shows should they risk destroying by putting it up against MAFS in Q1? I agree that The Voice and probably Big Brother too, should be preserved.

keep in mind it will be the Winter olympics up against the first half of MAFS next year. 7 will be in a better position to be aggressive against MAFS with whatever they chose by the end of Feb.

Nine very well might have to delay the launch of MAFS 2022 anyway, due to the current situation in Sydney?

Wasn’t it meant to be Australian Idol which followed the Winter Olympics? Don’t know what the plan will be if that show is further delayed.

so many formats have doubled up this year and will feel tired in early 2022. hopefully they all get a rest and a new format is launched off the Winter olympics.

Wow what a bare schedule. This is supposed to be their year.

AGT being postponed is really going to hurt them for the rest of this year. SAS is going to do decently but I doubt Big Brother VIP will do big business as Seven thinks it will.

Is it? Didn’t it struggle after the first few episodes last year? It seems 7 got a bit complacent and don’t organise their year schedule well enough like the other networks.

Well production has been postponed on a lot of shows: AGT, The Full Monty, Mates on a Mission, Australian Idol.
