Possibly on some of their multi channels. But one would hope not on their main channel.
The message from (James) Warburton to the team is pretty clear. Seven has the AFL in winter, cricket in summer and the #1 news brand. Get 7.30pm firing again and Seven will be back at #1.
I’ll believe it when i see it. they are still persisting with AGT with international acts?
Maybe there’s not enough local acts who want to audition?
oh dear - i really dont think its that simple. Of those new shows, I think only holey moley will be a hit…the rest are a bit ho hum…
At least there’s one that is somewhat promising. Last year was a complete write-off.
And as for the 7.30 slot, if they were innovative and introduced some variety in their programming then maybe their woes will soften. Instead they’re going with reality after reality.
surely that would make the format nonviable.
Its more likely because cattle call auditions are an arduous and expensive exercise. it might be cheaper to pay the air fares of international acts to come over.
And they need to start winning back 5-6 in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane or their news hour will start to lose as well. 7News has lost its crown in Brisbane this year.
Back on track? Still think they have a way to go.
7News in Brisbane has lost its crown because it’s barely showing news now, it’s just trashy consumer stories and ads disguised as “News”. As soon as the Local News finishes at 6.30 I usually flip to SBS for actual News. Plus the more I see Sharon present the more she annoys me. She seems disingenuous and robotic and combined with Max and their awkward banter, the whole product is just off.
I’m sorry, that’s rubbish.
Whatever…
Farmer and Full Monty being promoted during BB premiere… “this July”.

Watching 7 tonight, BB was good, new look and promos for some fresh content. first time in a few years that it didn’t feel like 7 are asleep at the wheel. hope they can turn their fortunes around.
Good read. It’s good to see them take some risks and head in a different path. It’s what Seven needed.
Judging by the sound of that article, looks like we have at least four shows confirmed for next year.
RFDS
Holey Moley
Australia’s Got Talent
Big Brother
Not too bad overall. If Between Two Worlds, Fam Time, Farmer wants a Wife, Celebrity SAS and Plate of Origin do decently (how you want to define that term is up to you) then Seven would appear to have a pretty packed schedule for next year, which probably spells the end of MKR and House Rules (good riddance).
