The EPG is showing 7HD Sydney goes back to being a simulcast of 7mate from Midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning … 
That decision by 7 is absolutely bullshit every state should have the main channel in HD

Makes no sense. If AFL must be in HD then just switch the channel from 7pm Friday through to 6pm Sunday.

7HD the main channel on Tuesday according to the guide. Not holding my breath
Not sure about everyone else but personally, I would trust the EPG on Digital TV over any external guide.

Up until yesterday (in Brisbane) the 7HD (LCN 70) EPG had channel 7 simulcast programming but today it has changed to showing a 7Mate simulcast. The Freeview EPG has not changed yet however.
Not sure where else to post this.
But i’ve noticed today that 7 in Townsville have removed the city name from the LCN Name on the TV.
Previously LCN7 was called “7 Townsville”, today it’s just called “7 Digital”.
Similarly, 72 is “7TWO”, 73 is “7mate”, 76 is “7flix” and 78 is no longer completely capitalised and is now listed as “Racing.com”

Interesting to see Seven Queensland now using the same/similar system for the LCN names that has since been dropped (removal of “Digital” from the main channel and the addition of locations to channel names happened in May, just prior to the HD changes) by Seven in the metro markets.

Queensland gets an AFL game in true HD tonight but with 7Mate not a simulcast at the moment, Brisbane misses out.
Regional Queensland can see it though
But that’s usually the case for a Seven produced game anyway, with 7QLD getting the game on 7mate HD, albeit an MPEG2 version.
Sad day for Sydney/Brisbane/Perth.
Any last ditch efforts to stop Seven from flicking the switch tonight? Somebody stop them

On my Foxtel EPG, 7HD is still the main channel tomorrow morning. Fingers cross it stays this way

7mateHD will be coming back to most markets at midnight, judging by the EPG on terrestrial TV (the most reliable guide, from my experience) here in Sydney.

Same in Perth
If you are watching the closing ceremony on 7HD in Brisbane et al tonight, according tot he EPG it will cut out part the way through at midnight and switch to 7Mate programming. Same thing happened when the change to 7HD occurred on 70 2 weeks ago - one program was running but after an ad break it came back with another. How hard could it be to run the ceremony to the end?
