##Round 11
Three prime time matches with finals aspirants
Thursday Night Football features Hawthorn and Port Adelaide clashing at the Adelaide Oval. Hawthorn’s win over the Power last year cemented their spot at the top while their opponent struggled to crack the eight. With the circumstances upturned this season, the Power will be hoping to capitalise on a sixth win, while the Hawks fight to keep any chance of playing finals football alive.
During the coverage, Hawks captain Jarryd Roughead talks about his year so far as captain and last weekend’s all-important goal in the 23rd minute which secured the team’s fourth win. We also chat to Power superstar Robbie Gray.
Geelong host their third consecutive match at Simonds Stadium in their clash against Adelaide on Friday Night Football. The Cats will be confident another game at their new and improved cattery will lend its hand to taking down the competition’s top team. However, with the Crows also coming off back-to-back wins, the result could go down to the wire. Both teams will celebrate milestones on Friday, with Tom Hawkins playing his 200th game and Josh Jenkins playing his 100th.
In the pre-game, both club coaches, Chris Scott and Don Pyke join us live ahead of the bounce. We also look back on Patrick Dangerfield’s standout form over the last two weeks as he prepares to play against his old side.
Neale Daniher joins Tim Watson at half time to launch Big Freeze 3 and announce the first slider.
Richmond and North Melbourne meet at Etihad on Saturday Night Footy. After Richmond kicked off their season with a run of wins, they snapped their four-match losing streak in a comeback against Essendon last weekend. If the Tigers want to continue climbing back into the top four, they will need to avenge last year’s Round 11 loss against the Roos which lead to a seventh defeat from eight encounters.
On The Kick, Sam Lane hits the red carpet with Hollywood heavyweights Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe at The Mummy premiere. Retro Richo is back and celebrates one of footy’s most emotional moments from yesteryear.
Football’s record holder for most matches played, Brent ‘Boomer’ Harvey, is Saturday’s Discovered feature. Boomer talks about life after AFL and we visit North Heidelberg where he now plays local football with his brother Shane.
