Scott Gullan has since listed the potential candidates to replace Tom Browne, including SEN’s Sam Edmund (Gullan’s former colleague at Herald Sun) and Tom Morris, AFL Media’s Josh Gabelich (ex-Seven News) and Sarah Olle (ex-Fox Footy), Seven’s own Kate Massey and Andrew McCormack, Fox Sports’ Drew Jones and David Zita, and even Eddie McGuire’s son Xander.
Funny. I was only thinking tonight during his cross ‘how does this man have a job?’ Always seems awkward. And always a very blunt ‘thanks Tom’ from Tim.
He’s very good at Fox, I think one of the few journalists that AFL fans actually like.
I thought he was cancelled
Yeah you can safely rule him out. If it wasn’t for his mate Hutchy he certainly wouldn’t have been heard from again.
Not allowed second chances in life? He didn’t commit a crime. Yes, deserved his suspension but shouldn’t be ruled out again for a job in his profession.

Richo and Hodge stitching up Tom Browne
They need to fix this new ‘Daisy’ thing, now that Dale Thomas (his long-time nickname) has been added to the regular telecasts, given Daisy Pearce - both on tonight and Hamish has been using first names.
What do you suggest?
Daisy and Dale, their actual names!
I’m all for second chances - but sometimes you do have to think about workplace culture and the fact he spoke that way of a colleague would likely make for a tough sell to their current staff, culture wise. More so if it were Fox obviously.

Without having read it, seems as though Selwood and Cotchin to host it alongside JB.
From the article:
James Brayshaw will anchor Channel 7’s new panel show alongside two premiership captains as the network gets back into the AFL analysis and opinion market.
Premiership captains Joel Selwood and Trent Cotchin will be the stars of Channel 7’s new football show.
In what has been a closely guarded secret inside Seven’s Docklands bunker, Media Street can reveal the show will be called Talking Finals.
Former Channel 9 Footy Show host James Brayshaw will anchor the new program, which is likely to have a mid-week timeslot.
MOD EDIT: Please don’t post the full article from a paywalled website
Hasn’t be been appearing on Fox for a while? Or does that not really count?
About bloody time, good choice in host with JB. I’m not a fan of the panelists personally but they’re good choices and both have media experience so they won’t perform poorly on air.
