Do we think there’ll be noticeable changes to Seven’s coverage (apart from the coronavirus behind the scenes changes and no crowds)?
Such as pre, half time and post shows, on-air talent, graphcis, segments, etc?
Wonder if The Kick will return at 6:30pm or 7pm on Saturday, meaning question marks for Seven News length in some markets and The Latest.
As for market splits, usually whatever isn’t on the main channel in whatever market, instead airs on 7Two or 7mate (such as BH&G, H&A and movies), otherwise it’s hard for a five city figure to be generated for a program and can affect Top 20.
I don’t see why they can’t start those matches at 7.10pm. But if Seven wants to continue to show Home and Away on main channel in Victoria and Tasmania, then just make it 7.40pm.
Especially considering the Coronavirus break has resulted in Seven losing pretty much all of their public holiday games they air (eg; Easter Monday, ANZAC Day, etc)
The Kick didn’t air in R1 with Seven deciding just to focus on the game coverage itself. Wouldn’t be surprised if that continues at least for the foreseeable future
Lacks that bit of oomph and excitement about the game returning. Bit surprised given that Seven would probably be excited that one of the only things that rates for them this year is returning, yet they don’t even capture the excitement of its return.
I think the article is saying that three each of West Coast and Fremantle matches that normally will be shown on FTA in 3 hour delay, will be shown live this year.
Firstly, the article is not only badly written but it’s partly factually incorrect so I can understand the confusion.
In regards to your question, normally 3 Fremantle and 3 West Coast Foxtel-produced games each season aren’t shown live on 7/7mate in WA. The same restriction also applied in SA for 3 Adelaide and 3 Port Adelaide games.
No they are not normally live. Normally if the game was a home game they would be shown on delay. The same goes for South Australia. So I would assume that since fans cannot attend the matches they will all be shown live on FTA.
Games outside of WA and SA involving said clubs are normally shown live but they have an agreement with Foxtel that 3 games will be shown on delay.

He definitely did move to Sydney. They crossed to him regularly at his appartment in Paddington during 7’s racing coverage over the past couple of months. He’s since moved back to Adelaide in the past 1-2 weeks as Olympics obviously not happening this year now.
