Correct, 1593 is licensed for 5kW ERP in Melb.
Belcher and Sattler also have a joint AFL/NRL segment called Crossing Codes with Gerard Healy and Sam McClure of Sportsday Victoria on Wednesday nights.
Brett Phillips (announcer for the first serve) is on a Sports Community live stream
Apparently he needs to pay SEN a fee now (since the Hutch took over) to have his show on air⌠An absolute farce
Can you elaborate? What show and what do you mean by âSports Community live streamâ?
This:
So help me understand this - Brett Phillips hosts this show, or just co-hosts it or was he a special guest this week?
Who needs to pay SEN a fee now? Brett Phillips? or the Sports Community Facebook show?
I donât fully understand what the farce is? Brett Phillips appeared (or hosted, or co-hosted?) wearing SEN attire and from what looks like he was in the SEN studios. Must have been a commercial arrangement with SEN so what is the farce exactly?
Sounds like a perfectly reasonable business arrangement where Phillips paid for airtime.
Is there anyway to listen to SEN Sydney (or SEN Queensland) on Google Home?
Add the streams manually if necessary, all are available from the SEN website, along with sport broadcast schedules (see my post up the topic), so any listening device/home speaker should play it.
@VictorianSun hereâs the live sport schedule:
I canât answer specifically re Google Home, but I know SEN use geoblocking on their app/website so that you canât access some of the streams that are not intended for you. That said maybe a VPN gets around that problem.
Can you hear interstate SEN stations via the RadioApp?
why do they do that??!!
As most people know, Iâm a Suns fan and would rather listen to a Queensland based sports channel over the crap we have down here in Victoria!
I canât even watch 7 Gold Coast News either⌠not even on replay
Seems fairly straight forward on the SEN app to change the region. Nothing geoblocked in Victoria at least.
Other states might have the main 1116 SEN stream blocked due to gambling advertising restrictions but there seems to be an alt âSEN VICâ stream available for interstate (which I suspect is also what is on air in Sydney on DAB currently).
And on DAB+ in Melbourne as SEN 3. No idea what theyâre using SEN 2 for, it was mostly a simulcast of 1377 before SEN Track launched.
As mentioned in Seven AFL coverage thread, a SEN employee has tested positive to COVID-19. SEN said it was not an AFL identity who tested positive, but couldnât reveal more due to privacy reasons.

SEN Track on air in Brisbane on 1053kHz prior to 7am today.
The SEN Broadcast Schedule has 1053 Brisbane & 1620kHz Gold Coast scheduled from yesterday Friday 4th. I thought both were scheduled to begin today?
I canât hear 1620kHz Gold Coast due to 1620 Vision (Bris) & presumably 1620 Toowoomba dominating.
May need the Gold Coast Frequency to move to 1611 or 1629
PSN should transform 2CH to a announcless Classic Hits station in Sydney and Melbourne. DAB+
For Melbourne they should use the combined bandwidth of SEN 2 and 3 for it. ATM the bandwidth is going to waste
Call it Classic Hits Radio Digital
SEN donât have the bandwidth for that - SEN are using up part of 3MPâs allocation and while itâs not obvious what the terms are there - putting in something likely to compete directly with 3MP isnât likely.
