It sounded like he had just popped in to participate in an interview they were doing.
Correct @TelevisionAU and @Spi, Vanessa Gibson is in Brisbane for her shift prepping and presenting from breakfast and then interstate talent read a national bulletin from Melbourne.
Those in Sydney are likely to hear Vanessa on their Sydney feed from time to time too.
Or was it a pre-recorded interview? Always funny when a pre-recorded interview goes to air and one of the hosts is away sick that day.
Iâve heard some radio shows be honest about it and admit it was pre-recorded. While some just press on and ignore the fact that their sick host spontaneously appeared for just one segment.
No it was live - they chatted about the days events then with Kane Cornes in Adelaide. It was mentioned "you might as well stick around for more than 20 minutes as well. He was involved with the Sportsbet segment as well.
Craig probably in the ear of the EP to keep Tim there as long as possible. Passed on to on air talent who mentioned it as ââŚstick aroundâŚâ
Kane and Hasey show has officially finished up on SEN SA. Itâs been months since Kane was on but he rang up the show to say his goodbyes as it was officially his last day. They were a good pairing.
Not confirmed but there is some talk Hasey is moving to Nova and he metioned the show looking a bit different next year so will wait for announcements.
Kaneâs been doing more in Melbourne (from Adelaide).
Yeah, still going to be based in Adelaide but will continue to commute. He can probably do Sportsday from SA sometimes.
I think he and Garry have been a good combination while he has been filling in.
He wonât commute heâll just do his shows from Adelaide.
Sportsday on SEN starts this afternoon with Gerard Healy, however he will co-hosting with Brad Johnson for the first few days before Kane Cornes returns from holidays. Thatâs according to Shane McInnes at the end of last nightâs episode / podcast.
EDIT: Gerard said on the start of todayâs show that Brad Johnson would be in the chair for the next three weeks.
EDIT 2: Kane Cornes begins hosting Sportsday with Gerard on Monday, November 21.
I think Kane is running the New York marathon. I donât know him well but I do cross paths with him a bit. His body is recovering from the Adelaide to Melbourne run but he was confident he could do it.
Sportsday SA has left FiveAA and moved accross to SENSA. Its starts up in 1323 Cruise in the new year. They have a rotation of fill in hosts in the meantime.
No announcement on what SENSA breakfast will look like in 2023. Still some rumours Haysey is moving to FM radio and of course Cornes has left.
Whatâs on 5aa now?
They extended the Sports show with Tim Giniver and Stephen Rowe for an extra hour. Now 4 -7pm
Nova confirmed Hasey has rejoined the station (he started his radio career as a Casanova on Nova 919âs street team and was a roving reporter for Nova 919âs Lewis & Lowe).
Wow. That means SEN need a whole new breakfast team for SA
Is there a possibility SEN SA will just relay SEN VIC Breakfast with Garry/Tim/Kane/Kingy/Bucks?
Possible but wouldnât be a good move. We get Fridays relayed already so itâs only Monday to Thursday as it is. Might work if it was say Garry and Kane for the five days but alot of the others are not very well liked here to have them on regularly.
Sounds like they are trying to get Mark Bickley over from FiveAA.
Not many big name media people in SA without a regular gig. Guys like John Casey, Andrew Mcleod, Brett Maher and Bryce Gibbs do weekend shows for SEN SA but donât thimk they will do a regular weekday spot. Maybe a mix of them like Vic Breakfast does.
Disappointed with a 2:40
At a guess given Iâve stopped listening regularly Iâd imagine gambling dollars across the network (incorporating SEN Track) would considerably assist.
I am surprised that Andrew Hayes has stayed on air depite him leaving to go to Nova at yhe end if the year. He doesnât mention it but guests and callers have referred to him leaving.
No big deal and he is a professional but just unusual in radio.
